Yes, you can. You have to take up geology in a college which admits students from backgrounds other than science in its UG course.
Then do an MA in geology, and later a Ph. D.
Then you can become a geologist.

yes , you can surely become a geologist .
- To become a Geologist, the student must has completed their 10+2 examination from any stream & pursues a bachelor’s degree from any university.
- After passing the bachelor degree, students can pursue the master degree. If you want to get admission in government colleges, you have to appear for the national level exam like GATE 2019 .
- Some universities conduct their own exams.

To become a geologist, you need to first get a BSc Geology . There are a number of colleges that provide this course. Some good ones are Xavier's Mumbai and Fergusson Pune.If your want to do it wrt to engineering, there are two colleges that provide geoscience engineering.
You can do your masters at IIt or foreign.
