can anyone suggest better strategy to master coordinate geometry especially conic sections and circles??? i m facing a lot of problem in this aspect. so plz suggest..
Hello there,
Conic sections and circles to be honest are actually easy if you can
remember all the formulas
. Since learning formulas is something which can be done only if you put an effort by yourself. You can paste charts in your room with all the formulas written on it. See it every morning and before sleeping, read them at least once every day.
Use books like cengage,
although the image of this book is created as it has one of the toughest questions but if you see it's solved example and concept application questions they are quite easy and are solvable if you just follow their theory exactly. so solve questions from it as being able to solve one question from cengage will automatically
boost your confidence in the subject.
and mastering any concept in maths requires a lot of practice so once your confidence gets boosted start trying to solve the exercise questions, make best use of internet and youtube and ask your teachers and focused peers doubts, dont hesitate.
Hope it helps!

tan( pie by 4 - theta) = 1-tan theta upon 1+tan theta proof .
We've to prove tan(pi/4 - x) = (1-tanx)/(1+tanx)
We know that tan(pi/4) i.e., tan(45deg) = 1
And tan(a-b) = ( tanA - tanB ) / ( 1+ tanA.tanB )
Let us prove by taking tan(pi/4 - x) and applying the formula, we get
tan(pi/4 - x) = tan(pi/4) - tanx) / ( 1 + tan(pi/4).tanx )
And when we substitute 1 at tan(pi/4) we get,
tan(pi/4 - x) = ( 1 - tanx )/ ( 1 + 1.tanx )
So that's why,
tan(pi/4 - x) = (1 - tanx)/(1 + tanx)
It's all about substitung the values and we get to prove the equation.
Hope this helps!

Hello I am preparing for IITJEE 2021 In Mathematics my co ordinate geometry is week so what can I do to improve it . And My Inorganic chemistry is week so Can Any IITian can guide me. please
Hi Akash,
I am an NITian and not IITian. I can answer it in a better way because I have realized and I know what it takes to be an IITian.
In Inorganic chemistry you have to mainly memorize the facts, except in some cases. At initial stage you can refer to NCERT and memorize it thoroughly and ensure that not a single line is left unstudied. Then you should refer to some advanced text books. Keep memorizing periodically and keep revising each chapter.
Coordinate geometry is very much important for JEE advanced point of view. And it is easy to score in this topic of mathematics. Coordinate geometry is less about concept and more about how fast you can see the actual trick to solve the problem. Someone can take 2 pages to solve a particular question but a smart aspirant will solve it instantly. This is what works in JEE Advanced. At first you should solve your coaching notes questions and then past year paper. Now comes the actual work to be done for excelling in JEE Advanced. Now start solving a different book, probably TMH or SK Goyal will do. Solve as much questions as you can. If you find these questions easy then switch yourself to SL Loney and start the same.
The next mistake most people make in this section is calculation mistakes. Avoid this at any cost and this can be achieved by practicing and only practicing.
If you follow this then you are surely going to crack JEE advanced.
All the best.
hello l am currently in class 11 and l am studying coordinate geometry section in maths. which will be relevant within the jee syllabus and contain good level of problems from gradually difficulty level. l know cengage coordinate geometry and sanjay mishra coordinate which is better
Both are good books,but if you choose one than I suggest you to study cengage mathematics ,As all the concept and questions are well versed, everything is in simple manner and non repeating
So ,I suggest you to do study cengage
Ya,I must say both are the best book if you covered both the book it helps you to secure more
Hope you find this informative
Good luck
how can I get good practice of plane geometry for KVPY SA currently, even if I try to solve questions of plane geometry questions of previous papers of KVPY , Im not able to solve it please help
Hey!
First clear your basic concepts of plane geometry and solve some basic questions from ncert, then try to solve the advanced level questions without looking at the solution. Once you are done with the practice of same, then solve the previous years problems.

find eq of hyperbola passing (2 8) with respect to hyperbola 5 x square minus y square equal to 5
Greetings Aspirant,
The Answer to your question is as follow:
Let the equation of the tangent be
y=mx+c
Since it passes through (2,8) hence
8=2m+c
Or
c=8−2m
Hence the equation of the tangent becomes
y=mx−2m+8
Substituting in the equation of the hyperbola
5x(Square) −y(Square) =5
5x(Square) − (mx−2m+8)(Square) = 5
5x(Square)−5−(m(Square)x(Square)+4m(Square)+64−4m(Square)x−32m+16mx)=0
x(Square)(5−m(Square) )+x(4m(Square) −16m)−4m(Square) +32m−69=0
Since it is a tangent hence D is 0.
Or
B(Square) −4AC=0
(4m(Square) −16m)(Square) −4(5−m(Square) ) (−4m(Square) +32m−69)=0
m=3 and m=23/3
Hence
y=3x+2 and 3y=23x−22
For Your Better Understanding i have also uploaded an image of the same answer to your question. You may go through it.

Any books for 3-D GEOMETRY and co-ordinate geometry. provide me any link to download pdf for solving problems on this chapters.
is equation of sphere and intersection of two spheres (3d geometry) a part of mathematics jee main 2020
Well the answer is yes. There will be a lot of geometry questions that will be asked in jee mains and advanced. You may expect questions of different patterns from the dame topic. Like find the area between two spheres, find the points of intersection, find the planes of intersection etc.
Sides of a triangle are 6,10 and x for what value of x is the area of the triangle the maximum?
Hi Unnati,
If sides of a triangle are 6,10 and x, then for x = 8, the area of triangle will be maximum.
We can understand this, by hit and trial method to obtain this answer. As, this is the most relevant answer.
Feel free to ask doubts in the Comment Section.
I hope this information helps you.
