Well internship is necessary in some of the courses .. I am pursuing BBA hons from GLA university and its mandatory to have 6-8 weeks internship program after completion of second year in this course..

If talking about that whether university provides internship to students or not..or if yes then what kind of internship they provide...

then.

Various companies arrives in the university to provide great internship program to the students 

The university provides internship in different specialisation to the students..many of my friends got wonderful internship program and are getting good stipend too .....

And yes a lot of students gets internship ....

Well sometimes its not about how many people are being provided with internship...because its all about your capability to explain and present yourself in front of interviewer....

BUT as far as its in the hands of university...then university invites various companies to offer internships... 

FOR EXAMPLE ...In MBA

There is a tie up of university with SAFEDUCATE company..in which they provide 6 months internship program to the students at very handsome stipend in return....

and even ...the extra ordinary students gets placement in that same company too...

 GLA is a good college ni doubt.  GLA University has been given ‘A’ grade by NAAC. The faculty members, they all are intellectuals. Hostel mess, infrastructure, every thing is good like any private college.

The campus placement is also average.

The companies that visited the campus this year include Infosys, MPhasis, Motherson Sumi and a lot more. There are  companies that pay 8000 per month but there are also companies in the campus that provide 6.5 lac per annum.

Your success depends on you and your hard work and intellectuals.

The placement record is quite good. The highest package CSE branch at GLA University till date is Rs.22 LPA and average package is Rs.3-6 LPA.

*The highest package in KIET till date is Rs.11.8 LPA and average package is Rs.4-5 LPA.

*The highest package in A K Garg till date is Rs.10 LPA and average package is Rs.3-5 LPA.

*The highest package in GLA till date is Rs.22 LPA and average package is Rs.4-6 LPA.

I am currently the student of GLA university and pursuing b.tech from GLA university...

If you're asking about one among these two universities then I would definitely suggest you for GLA University ..its not about i am being biased or something but I'll give you the effective suggestion for it.

GLA university is a great platform for both the kind of students 

• Those who are great in academics..
• Those who are not good at academics but are good at stage performances and other curriculum activities.

FOR THOSE WHO ARE GOOD AT ACADEMICS..

Students who are good at academics definitely will be in search of great placement offers and for those GLAU invites great and top core companies for campus recruitment.

Students who are good at academics will definitely be in search of gaining practical knowledge for them GLAU organises various workshops and seminars ...as well as various educational trips that are so helpful for them.

Students who are good at academics will definitely be in search of the well qualiified and experienced faculties...{ well adding to it } more than 50% teachers at GLA university are ph.D holders and are having minimum 7 years of experience .

FOR THOSE WHO ARE GOOD BEYOND ACADEMICS

I dont think direct admission is possible, you do have to give the entrance exams and go through counselling.
