which one is better among GMRIT and MVGR for cse

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 12th Oct, 2020

Hey Surya

I will give you a gist of the two so that you yourself can find out which one is better for you.

GMRIT CSE- It was ranked 76 for Private Engineering by India Today 2020. Around 80% of the students get placed here with lowest salary package being 3 LPA, and highest salary package being 7 LPA. The faculty is good and knowledgeable but the coursev (as good as it may be) does not make a student industry ready and hence they have to do some online courses themselves. Top recruiters are TCS, Cognizant and other companies.

MVGR CSE- Ranked 40 for private engineering by Times 2019, the institute has 70 to 80% placement rate. The major companies include Wipro, Cisco and TCS with the highest salary offered being 19 lakh per annum and the average salary around 4 lakh per annu. The faculty here is good and are all PhD holders. The course is good and up to date.It is JNTU affiliated hence the course structure is similar to it.

Is GMRIT is preferable than GVP vizag for cse?

shubham 12th Oct, 2020

Hello,

Yes GMR institute of technology can be prefered above GVP vishakhapatnam as they have all the facilities like cafeteria, gym, library, etc on campus.

Their fees is Rs 4.32 lakhs which is less than GVP with fees Rs 4.34 lakhs also cutoff for GMRIT is less and chances of getting into it is more easier. Their cutoff in AP EAMCET is 6568 whereas for GVP is 3037.

GMRIT also offeres median salary of Rs 4.31 lakhs which is more than GVP of Rs 3.37 lakhs.

Students have also rated GMRIT as 4.1/4 and GVP as 3.6/5.

This information will help you to decide which college is best suitable for you.

Considering fees, placement and students rating GMRIT is more preferable than GVP.

I Got 55641 rank in ap eamcet, and 922 in ipe can i get cse seat in srkr/gvp/gmrit. plz suggest good cse colleges thanks in advance

Nandhini Student Expert 11th Oct, 2020

Hello student,

With the above mentioned rank, it is impossible to procure a seat in the colleges which you have asked, especially in cse branch, as the closing ranks were around 3,000 for cse branch. Yet, ranks and scores vary each year depending on a lot of fators. However, you can predict the colleges which you can get using the below mentioned link:

i got 81 marks in Ap eamcet 2020 can i get seat in gmrit ,rajam in cse branch

Sharon Rose Student Expert 3rd Oct, 2020
Hello,
Considering the given marks you may expect a rank in between 11000-15000. Rank depends on your category, normalised marks, combined weightage of EAMCET and group subjects marks in IPE, top score etc. You have not mentioned your category assuming that you belong to general category you have decent chances of getting seat in GMRIT. The cut off in 2018 for admission to CSE in GMRIT, Rajam was 11183 for general category. Considering this you have decent chances of getting seat. Cut off may increase or decrease depending on number of candidates qualified, difficulty of exam and number of seats available etc.
To know the colleges you may get seat you can use our AP EAMCET college predictor

which engineering college is better to do CSE in MVGR VIZIANAGARAM or GMRIT...??

Mayank Chowdhary 3rd Mar, 2020

Infrastructure and teaching faculty and facilities wise, GMRIT is a better one but when placements opportunities are concerned, MVGR has a little better edge over GMRIT that's what I feel. You will have a fees of 4.32 lakhs for Computer Science Engineering in GMR Institute of Technology, Rajam. And a fees of Rs. 3.32 lakhs per annum for CSE in Maharaj Vijayaram Gajapathi Raj College of Engineering, Vizianagaram.

Refer to the links below of both of the colleges to get a detailed information for both and then choose which fulfills your wishes to the best..

Which is better to study mechanical engineering in GMRIT(or) petroleum engineering in JNTU, kakinada?

Anuj_1525372683 Student Expert 17th Aug, 2019

Hi there

GMR Institute of Technology - GMRIT for mechanical engineering is a better choice.

Placements : In the college, students who have CGPA of above 7.5 get good placements. The highest salary was 5 lakhs per annum, and the lowest salary was 2.5 lakhs per annum. Companies required students of good communication, technical skills and responsible persons. They have a placement cell which is very useful for students to choose the best company.

Infrastructure : they have Wi-Fi facility with 200 Mbps and well-equipped labs. Classrooms are not bad but having projectors in every classroom. The library is very good to learn more things because several books are available in it.

Faculty : Some of the faculty are well-educated and explains very well, but some are satisfactory. All are very helpful either in classrooms or campus. The faculty-student ratio is 1:5.

Overall its a better option than pursuing petroleum at JNTU. But if you're interested in petroleum engineering then you must go for it.
