With 8.6 CGPA, 1 paper published in IJERT, 3 Cyber Security internships, volunteer in NGO, GRE Verbal 152, Quant 160, AW 4.0, 2 LoR from College Professor and 1 LoR from IIT Bhubaneswar Professor as paper guide. will this person get admitted to MS Security Informatics in Johns Hopkins for Fall 2022?
Hi, your CGPA is good enough. Coming to your GRE score it falls under the range for Johns Hopkins university. Try getting 1 LOR from HOD if you already have that great. Usually everyone takes LOR from PhD holders of the college. So, you see if you have those. The LOR from an IIT Professor will have a great impact. Make sure that you enhance and write about your paper in detail in the LOR as well. Your internships are great. You can also ask them to give you an LOR. If not it is ok. Overall this person has a chance of getting into the college as their range of accepting marks of GRE is around 150. Hope this helps.

I got 11k rank in kcet 2021, what colleges can I get cse at? If I take ISE will masters be hampered through GRE abroad? Can I get cse at NHCE Bangalore?
Dear student,
For your KCET Rank you have chances of getting B.Tech Information Science Engineering branch in below mentioned Engineering Colleges in Karnataka, based on previous year's Closing Ranks under General Category, because you have not mentioned your Caste Category and I'm considering it as General Category and giving information based on it.
- REVA University, Bangalore
- Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology, Bangalore
- MVJ College of Engineering, Bangalore
- New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore
For your KCET Rank it is difficult to get B.Tech Computer Science Engineering branch in New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore based on previous year's cut-offs i.e 9373 under General Merit Category but you can get Information Science Engineering branch in this College.
Cut-offs changes from year to year and depends on many factors like number of students appeared in the exam, number of seats available, category, difficulty level of the exam, etc.

What is GRE for ? Is it for MIT or any other Universities?
Hello student,
GRE exam is an entrance exam just like JEE or CET but for applying to foreign universities and colleges of USA and Canada. The Graduate Record Examinations(GRE) is a standardized test that is an admissions requirement for many graduate schools in the United States and Canada and few in other countries. So, yes you can apply for Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for Masters after giving this exam. The computer-based GRE General Test consists of six sections. The first section is always the analytical writing section involving separately timed issue and argument tasks. The next five sections consist of two verbal reasoning sections, two quantitative reasoning sections, and either an experimental or research section.

Im Vedant and I wish to become a Data scientist by pursuing Masters in USA. Im currently a third-year student in Engineering Computer Science Department. Im so confused about when to write my GRE paper. Also, should I go for Fall or Spring? Kindly enlighten me.
Hi Vedant!
Since, top universities are expected to close their registration in November or December, it is preferred to attend GRE by the end of June, so that your result is available before your application in the universities. Do keep your official documents ready like VISA to avoid any hassle at the last moment.
Thank you, I hope the confusion in cleared.
I am Preparing For Gate Exam being a 2nd Year Btech student. Can i give GRE or GMAT exam after completing my 2 years MTech course ?
Hi Swarnava,
There are no specific eligibility criteria for the GRE / GMAT Exam that deters one from giving the exam had the candidate already done his / her M. Tech. Anyone can register for both GRE and GMAT Exam and there is also no prescribed age limit as of now.
However, I would like to enlighten you with the fact that GRE / GMAT scores are valid for a period of 5 years. So if you're planning to settle abroad, you can give the exam as early as you can so as to avoid any last minute discrepancies. But even if you want to give it after completing your M. Tech, that is totally fine.
Hope this was helpful.
