is 12th gujarat board marks required in pdpu? or i can get admission by gujcet only?
Hello Aspirant,
If you are seeking admission in Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar in engineering course then you have 2 options, if you belongs to Gujarat then you can apply for 35% state quota seats through ACPC on the basis of GUJCET score and if you belongs to any state other than Gujarat then you have to take admission on the basis of JEE-Main score for 50% of All India Quota seats.
In both the case your class 12th marks will be only considered for determining your qualification, it shall not be considered for preparation of merit list so if you participate in ACPC counselling then the merit list will be prepared on the basis of your GUJCET marks and if it is though JEE-Main then the merit list will be prepared on the basis of JEE-Main score only.
I hope this information helps you.

Can i get admission in Iits, Nits through Gujcet only?
Hello Aspirant,
Admission to IITs is done on the basis of JEE-Advance score, and in NITs admission is done on the basis of JEE-Main score not on the basis of GUJCET. Also note that for JEE-Advance you have to first qualify JEE-Main, and for JEE-Main you have to satisfy the following criterion :-
1--- Age criteria :- There is no age limit to appear in JEE-Main but note that there might be the age limit in any particular institution taking admission through JEE-Main score, so you should keep this thing in mind.
2--- Qualifying Examination :- To be eligible for JEE-Main one should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject from any of the recognized central or state board.
3--- Year of qualification :- For JEE-Main 2022 only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or 2022; or those who will be appearing in Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2022, would be eligible to appear.
So if you follow all above criterion then you are definitely eligible for JEE-Main.

what is the benefit of gujarat board in 12th over CBSC board to get addmission in engineering colledge ?
hello aspirant,
I hope that you are doing absolutely great.
With reference to yoru above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that CBSE Boards are much better than Gujarat boards because the course structure and curriculum that are taught in CBSE boards are much better than Gujarat boards. However, GSEB Boards are also good enough.
If you're not much interested in engineering and wants to go in applied science and research field. Then probably you should choose CBSE board though gujarat board can also be equally good but CBSE will give you an edge over others because of better recognition and slightly better course structure .
Further, Fundamental Difference between GSEB and CBSE Schools is that Each CBSE school across India follows the same syllabus and the education system. While state government education system is different in each state. It means the GSEB syllabus and education policy is limited to Gujarat only.
I hope that this will help.
