Yes, GNLU is a government university. It was established by the government of Gujarat under the   Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003 . The University is recognized by the  Bar Council of India (BCI)  and the University Grants Commission (UGC) (2f & 12B) . LLB course fees in India ranges from INR 1 lakh to INR 2 lakh per annum on an average. However, there are fluctuations based on the facilities provided by every University. A law course can be completed with an amount of Rs.20,000 per year and at the same time a student may pursue the same from some different University with an expense of over 1-2 lakhs per annum. It totally depends on the interest and  performance of candidates in the entrance exams held and the personal interview rounds .

YES, you can do Phd after completing PG Diploma course.

After completing your PG diploma,  you have two options for pursuing your PhD  : The PG diploma must be recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as comparable to a master's degree programme, and you must score at least 55 percent overall, among other requirements.
