why do many people dont mention joint international Programme in food science and technology as a course whenever theres discussion about courses offered at IIT Guwahati?
Dear Aspirant
Unlike computer science and allied fields food science and technology offer lower placement packages. According to my opinion there is no ranking/hierarchy between branches but there's a placement variable to decide the popularity of a particular branch. In case you wish to study Food Science and Technology from IIT Guwahati you are most welcome to do that. At top colleges like IIT Guwahati you'll get great exposure for your career and higher studies.
Best Wishes.
for someone to become a food scientist, which college would you prefer for m.tech - Food Engineering at IIT Kharagpur or Joint Programme Food Science and Technology at IIT Guwahati?
Hello aspirant,
Both M.Tech Food Processing Engineering in Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and International Joint Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree (IMD) in Food Science and Technology offered by Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati and Gifu University, a national University in Japan are best at there places. There are only 5 seats for Indians and another 5 seats for Japan students for Joint Master of Technology in Food Technology course in Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati which has high competition. If you can get seat then go for it or else go for M.Tech in Food Processing Engineering in Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur because it has 30 seats for this course. As you know both the Institutions has the brand called IIT, so both of them are good at their academics and placements.

sir/ mam is it possible to change medical college after second year . currently i am a second year mbbs student at AIIMS Guwahati
Hope you are doing well,
Yes of course, Migration/transfer of students from one medical college to another is allowed but it's only during the 2nd year of professional course (after passing the 1st MBBS examinations) based on a few rules such as,
1---A valid/genuine reason is to be given for requesting transfer from one college to another.
2---The student has to score a minimum of 70% aggregate marks in the first year university examinations in your first attempt.
3---Transfers are allowed only to students of he regular batch and not for repeaters.
4---Prior permission from the MCI/Concerned university and NOC certificates from both the colleges is mandatory.
The process definitely seem to be a long and cumbersome one. So think twice before you actually get into it.
Hope this would help you,
Thank you.

what is the journey from the first year of the college till the convocation in iit guwahati?
Hi
The journey of a student from the first year till the convocation is different and unique for each and every student. Coming from the EXAM PHASE to the COLLEGE PHASE is quite a large jump. The exact journey can't be defined as such, because much depends upon the route chosen by the student; just as you chose to do whatever you do in your routine. But definitely, as everything is destined to end, so does college life, marking the beginning of another phase.
