On there is no hope for him to get admission in this college cause the closing rank for this college at cse branch is around 25000 and your friend got rank around 66k. So there is no hope for him to get that college.

Hi aspirant, in my opinion, a rank around yours is usually good enough to get HBTU Kanpur. The cut-offs there vary every year. So it is difficult to predict exact rank. But a rank around this should be enough. Although cse and chemical branch there usually have cutoff higher than the rest. Hope this helps. Regards.

First of all congrats for secuuring 220k rank in jee 2019 . As per latest news hbti might not take admmision through upsee. HBTI KANPUR is switching itsintake through jee mains this will be great news as more intake will be there. And as per your rank yes you will definitely get a seat in paint technology if you have state quota by 2nd round of counselling else last round is all yours .check: http://hbtu.ac.in/
