Hello aspirant

For admission in Medical College, you must appear for NEET exam. Eligibility for appearing in NEET is to have passed xii Science with minimum 50% marks in PCB. As you have got 48% in PCB , you are not eligible for neet.without neet you won't be able to get a seat in the medical college.

G VIJAYALAKSHMI 17th Jul, 2020

Dear candidate

Getting seat in VIT doesn't depend on JEE or any other, for that you need get an aggregate of 60 percent of marks in core subjects like Maths/Biology, physics and chemistry and you need to write a seperste entrance test conducted by VIT so, depending on the rank you get in that particular entrance test you will go for counseling and get a seat. what is criteria for 12 Hsc marks to get admission in medical college

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 14th Jul, 2020

Hello

Admission in medical colleges for MBBS ,BDS etc is not on the basis of marks obtained by you in class 12th board examination , rather it is through an entrance examination called Neet examination.

Now, only the role of your class 12th board examination marks for getting into medical college  is in making you eligible for Neet examination i.e

Neet eligibility  criteria says that,
to be eligible  you must have passed your 12th with English and PCB (pass in both the theory and practical )  with at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th  examination  if you belong to general category or at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st

For detailed information about neet examination go through our page for which link is provided below; -

In hsc exam 2020 , will commerce student gets grace marks in maths to pass ? 12 hsc 2020 result date ?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 30th May, 2020

hi,

see it depends on the exam authority, if they decided that questions is too tough and the number of failure candidates is large than they may decided to give grace marks to all candidates, however it is not like every year grace marks is given for all subjects. you need to check the latest news of your education board for more details about marking system.

If I got 120 marks in pcb group in hsc Maharashtra board exam and 550 marks in neet then can I get mbbs seat in Maharashtra GMC if I belongs to OBC category? PLEASE TELL ME

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 29th May, 2020

Hi

With 120 marks i.e 40% in PCB you are eligible for Neet examination as you belong to onc category.

This is because,
as per eligibility criteria only 40% in PCB is required for OBC category to be eligible and you fulfill this

It's quite difficult to say whether will get a seat in government medical college or not with 550 marks as cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But yes as per previous year trends you may get a seat in Government Medical College under Maharashtra State quota for OBC category with 550 marks.

For example,
In neet 2019,  535 marks got a seat in Government Medical College, Gondia under Maharashtra State quota for OBC category.
