I am much interested in the study of Physics, especially, astronomy / cosmology / astrophysics. Which is/are the best institution(s) in India or across the globe for me to go for? And how can I ?
First, I would advise you to pursue B.Sc./BS in Physics or BTech in Engineering Physics if youre into Engineering, from some of the best Central Universities or Technical Institutes in India. After Graduation, you may pursue Postgraduation in Astrophysics, either from India or Abroad followed by a Career in Industry, Research and Academia.

You can initially expect a package of 20K per month. Also if you do not get a good placement after your degree you can plan to do internship in good institutes or related firms and later get good job profiles with attractive packages for sure.
Hope it helps.
can with GATE XE score and B.TECH in FOOD TECHNOLOGY i can apply for IISC Banglore/IIT BOMBAY/IIT ROORKEE??
After doing Msc. everytging depends upon your knowledge. If you dont have complete knowledge then clear all your basic and learn each and everything by giving at least 2 years since physics is a very strong and wo derful subject.
After the complete knowledge of physics you can prefer the competative examination which ISRO used to organize periodically every year.
After the exams you need to give interview which will test your complete knowledge of physics which will be based on Numericals portion.
Hopefully this will help you.
Thank you.
