I am belonging to MBC caste how much rank should I secure in Jee main to get seat in IISc Banglore
Hello aspirant,
As you mentioned that you want to enquire about your chances of getting admission into IISc Bangalore.
Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore was established in the year 1909 by the Indian Government. IISc was started with the joint efforts of Jamsetji Nussarwanji Tata, the Government of India and the Maharaja of Mysore.
The basic criterion for admission to IISc through JEE Mains is getting a minimum percentage of scores.
60% translating to 216/360 for general
54% translating to 195/360 for OBC-NCL
30% translating to 108/360 for SC/ST
However the cut-offs are way higher.
Year 2015:
General 325
OBC-NCL 250 -> 194
SC 220
ST 108
And everyone getting selected, regardless of category, having less than 285 marks need to attend an interview.
Year 2014:
General 295
OBC-NCL 204 -> 215 -> 196
SC 108 -> 160 -> 108
ST 108
And everyone getting selected, regardless of category, having less than 275 marks need to attend an interview.
All those satisfying the necessary cut off and scoring above the minimum marks, are guaranteed admission. Others after clearing interview can be admitted.
If the seats reserved to be filled through JEE Mains is not fully filled, there is a chance for the cut-off to be lowered during subsequent counseling sessions.
All the best

If you don't have an obc certificate, then you would fall in general category. If you wish to take admission in iisc Bangalore then you would need a rank under 250 in jee mains or a similar rank in jee advanced. If you score well in jee mains then you can get admission through jee mains also otherwise you have to do good in jee advanced.
i want to join in iisc banglore there are over all seats 120 for this year 2020 what is the percentile required in jee main 2021 to get seat in iisc i am OBC category pls send me answer.
To get into iisc bangalore you need to score a rank below 5000 in jee advanced if you are from obc category according to the cut off of the year 2019, however cut off can vary from year to year.

how can I get into IISc banglore after clearing KVPY SA
Hello aspirant,
Through KVPY/JEE exam, by the end of April IISc receives all the applications. Then with ranks in KVPY limiting a particular cutoff rank, offers are sent to the candidates. Offers are also sent to the candidates via JEE-MAIN, JEE ADVANCED and NEET exam. Still if any seats are left to be filled up, then there may be a spot admission round and in this process, there is no cutoff limit. So these are the admission procedures of getting into IISc Bengaluru after clearing KVPY SA.
Good Luck! Hope, you get the answer.
Is any chance to get the admission in IISC Banglore in any science stream through JEE MAINS ranks or Marks. And tell me also the other ways to take the admission in IISC Banglore
Hello aspirant, hope you are doing good.
Now, coming to your question , you can definitely get into IISC Bangalore through JEE Mains rank. Infact there are three ways through which you can get into IISC Bangalore - JEE Mains, JEE advance, KVPY, NEET. The university doesn't conduct it's own examination, so these are the only ways to get in. The cutoffs are really high as well, because the competition is very tough.
If you want to know about all the possible colleges you can get into, with your JEE Mains rank, you can get it here:
