Is round 6 only for iit admission only ??in jossa2020
Hi Vineel,
There are total 6 rounds conducted for counselling in JoSAA. All these rounds are for admission in various engineering colleges like IITs, NITs etc. There is no specific round for admission in specific colleges only. The seats are given based on vacancy available in the particular college. Therefore, round 6 is NOT meant for IIT admissions ONLY.
my Maharashtra HSC board 2020 score is 89% and all papers were conducted and no average marking if i take drop for jee mains then can i eligible for nit IIT admission as they have 75% criteria .they accept this marks for next year nit IIT admissions criteria
75% or top 20 percentile criteria is considered as the criteria to get admission in NITs and IITs. As you have got 89% you are eligible for the admission in NIT and IIT.
You can appear 6 times in 3 consecutive years for JEE Main and 2 times in 2 consecutive years for JEE Advanced. As you have passed 12th in 2020 you can appear in JEE Main and Advanced in 2021 and only JEE Main in 2022. You have last chance to sit for JEE Advanced in 2021.
Hope you get my point. All the best.
i got ews rank as 4720,no clr rank.can i get chance to IIT admission
Dear student,
Since there is only 10% reservation for ews category in iit's, the total seats for ews are around 611 in number. So it is impossible for you to get into any iit with this rank. But don't worry, you could try next year or look for other colleges that you might get.
I want perfect solution for present year iit admission.
Hi Candidate,
It's great to hear that you are interested in IIT. IIT stands for Indian Institute of Technology and are the best technical institute for Engineering stream in the country and hence, it's exam is also one of the Toughest Entrance exams in the world, known as (JEE ADVANCE).
The admission in Undergraduate courses are done only if you qualify the JEE- MAIN and then the JEE-ADVANCE exam simultaneously in the same year and score the necessary marks to get selected.
The admission process is done by JoSAA counseling process which involves numerous rounds and the candidate gets admission in IITs only if he has scored enough marks to be included in the merit list. In 2020, six rounds of counselling have already been completed, and around 16000 students from different streams like General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST are eligible for admission in various streams of all 23 IITs present in the country.
All the Best. Wish you Best if Luck.
does iit admission have any weightage of board exam Marks? does it apply for other good colleges to?
Dear Aspirant,
No IIT do not have any weightage for the +2 marks, however, you have to have a minimum 75% marks in CBSE board or be in the top 20 percentile of your respective board to be eligible for the admission in the IITs and NITs.
Generally, there is no weightage for the+2 marks in engineering colleges, but they mostly have some minimum eligibility criteria ranging from 60-75% marks in +2.
Hope this helps. Thank you.

can i count evs marks in top 20 percentile criteria for iit admission in Maharashtra boards..?
Hi
To be eligible for IITs one needs at least 75% marks in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least 65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or must be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 examination.
5 Subjects to be considered for calculating percentage or top 20 percentile are :-
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- A language
- Any subject other than listed above
So , so yes you can count EVS marks for calculating your percentage or top 20 percentile criteria provided you have also taken physics ,chemistry, math and one language marks in account
Thank you
In out PSEB there is a stream known as super medical in which with medical stream we get Maths extra subject in place of physical,so for iits admission whether I should take super medical or Non medical. am I eligible for iits admission taking super medical
If you want to crack JEE ..then maths, physics and chemistry are essential subjects for you and bio is not needed there...so it will add extra pressure on you...so better to receive little but with more concentration...I suggest you to choose non med to crack jee
