i am not eligible for an mba because i scored 44.67% in graduation. can i do an mba from ignou on the marks basis of an m.com?
Hello,
Admission to MBA which is a postgraduate management degree is based on the eligibility criteria of passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university securing 50% aggregate, there is relaxation of 5% for reserved categories. you cannot get admission of MBA based on MCom Degree which is itself a postgraduate degree, say in case of BEd graduation and postgraduation from a recognized university with required aggregate is acceptable, that is if candidates fail to acquire the essential aggregate through graduation, they can further go for post-graduation, and obtain the required aggregate to become eligible to apply for BEd, but there is no such thing applicable in case of candidates interested to pursue MBA, only your graduation scores matter in this case, visit our page at https://bschool.careers360.com/articles/ignou-mba-admissions to know more details regarding this.
I dont have psychology Baground in graduation and now Im thinking to pursue Masters in psychology but Im confused between MA pure psychology and MA applied psychology , which one will be better
Hello,
Yes you definitely can. Make sure to check the eligibility criteria of the colleges you are looking for. The criteria will be different for all such as graduates of BA hons. Psych, BA psych or those who did not graduate in psych but did in some other specialization. The differences will also include giving preferences to those how have graduated in the subject before.
Another challenge would be the unfamiliarity with the concepts. Students who have studied this before will have a grasp on the subject easily whereas those who have not will find it a little difficult at first but with hard work and obedience towards the subject and the motivation to learn they can cope up with the subject easily.
Pure psychology is known as the fundamental knowledge of psychology. When a psychology student enters their first semester, they will have to take ‘Introduction to Psychology’ where chapters like biological psychology, sensation and perception, learning and memory are taught just to give an insight of what makes psychology, PSYCHOLOGY. Experimental psychologists who are involved in the basic areas of pure psychology that specializes in the study of a single psychological process, educate at universities and conduct research.
Applied psychology on the other hand, is when applied psychologists use basic psychological knowledge to solve human problems such as equipment design, personnel selection and psychological treatment.
With the specified knowledge learnt, they get to develop the better methods to solve problems faced by humans. Applied psychologists either become lecturers and do research, or work at mental health centres, hospitals industries, school settings or other applied settings.
In conclusion, pure and applied psychology work together hand in hand, both of them have their pros and cons. They both compliment each other and have the same goal of understanding humans better. So you should choose the subject which is of your interest.
Hope this helps!
My percentage in graduation was only 40% . Could I get admission in MBA full time. If possible please suggest college.
First of all, don't loose heart and try to look for opportunities with your current score.
As far as MBA is concerned, try joining some private universities as the graduation score might not fulfill the eligibility criteria for major MBA exams and colleges.
There is still hope for the good private college.
Apply and prepare well in case of entrance or interview.
Good Luck!
6.0 cgpa = how much % in graduation from northcap university gurgao ??
hello villian
hope you are doing fine and great
I would glad to inform you that different colleges have different criteria of converting cgpa into percentage , some multiply cgpa *9.5 and some multiply cgpa*10 . Most private universities including north cap have multiplier of 10 so at 6.0 cgpa your percentage will be around 60 percent
Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future
if a sc category student has 67.77 in ssc , 52.27 in hsc , 7.0 cgpa in graduation and he is non engineer.if he score 99+ in cat so is there any chances that he will getting any call from old or main iim. he should target cat or he can prepare for other exam like xat , snap , nmat , iift ?
Hi Omkar,
It is very difficult to state definitely whether you'll get a call from the old (IIMs I,K,L) or main (IIMs A,B,C) IIMs with your past academics records even on scoring 99+ percentile in CAT. There are reservations no doubt and you will be eligible for that, but usually for these IIMs especially IIM A,B and C, somewhat around 99 percentiles are required for non-engineers with good academic scores for non-reserved candidates.
All that said, under the CAT umbrella several other B-Schools come most of which do not see your past academics and a lot of them provide really good placements at par with IIMs. So with 99+ in CAT you'll easily be able to get calls from them.
Therefore, work hard for CAT and let fate decide what is in for you.
All the best.
i have passed 12 class and i want to prepare for UPSC CSE what should I take in graduation that will also help as a backup or first i should complete my graduation then go further or i will do any degree privatee.
Dear Aspirant,
You can appear UPSC CSE exam after graduation. The minimum eligibility of UPSC CSE is you have to be a graduate student to apply for the exam. You can choose B.SC if your interest is in science subjects or the best option ,I think is choose B.TECH because while giving the interview the interviewees will prefer technical students upon general studies students. Choosing B.TECH can have backup plan also.

Good Luck!
If I want to do MBA after graduation, what will be better option in graduation BBA or B.tech in Computer Science and Engineering?
It depends upon your own interest,in which field you want to explore your career.
B.tech+mba is other thing and Bba+mba in another thing.
If you are a techno crazy or passonate about today's technology, then go for b.tech+mba.And if you have a business many and passionate about exploring your career in particularly business sector,or want to become upcoming Ambani then go for Bba+mba.
Its not a subject matter that b.tech+mba will pay lead to success and bba+mba does not.
Its entirely depends upon your own interest and capabilities.
It is worthy just persue the courses just to earn money.Study to gain knowledge and make mind that i have to apply that knowledge in my day to day life, then you will able to taste success otherwise b.tech+mba or bba+mba all are worthy.
