Hi Sir! Im from commerce stream can i join Indian army.
Hi aspirant,
Yes it is truly possible that you can join Indian army even if you are from commerce background provided that you have Mathematics in your senior secondary education. Actually you would have to write the NDA examination and for which mathematics is a compulsory subject. I would also want to tell you that you are not eligible for Indian Air force or Navy because you do not have Physics as your subject. NDA examination is not very difficult you only need to practice the mathematics section well and other sections can be easily managed because they are of 10th level only. If you can manage at least 90-100 marks in mathematics section then it would not be very difficult to score around 260 marks in English and GAT section combined.
You can also join the Indian army after graduation through CDS examination but again you would only be eligible for Indian military services. You can prepare for CDS examination during your graduation so that you can perform well and easily get a place in Academy. In case you do not have Mathematics then you cannot join Indian army through this entrance examination but you can get into smaller posts through NCC and other small physical examinations.
hope it helps!

The Army Medical Corps comes under the Government of India, it annually offers short service commission for MBBS graduates who have passed the course in the first or second attempt and have completed internship as an officer.
Note-The candidate must have obtained permanent registration from any State Medical Council or the Medical Council of India.
However Postgraduate degree holders in anesthesia, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, medicine, orthopedics, respiratory medicine are given preference.
Indian Nationals under age of 45 can apply for the post.
The candidates who are Eligible will be called for an interview by the board officers at the Army Hospital, Delhi, and on successfully clearing the interview you will be granted short service commission in the Armed Forces Medical Services. The final selection is based on the medical fitness examination.
The selected candidates can get posting in any part of the country in the Army, Navy or Air Force.
On being commissioned into the Armed Forces Medical Services, doctors will be granted the rank of Captain or equivalent rank in Navy or Air Force in the scale of Rs.15600-39,100, plus grade pay, non-practicing allowance, free rations, subsidized accommodation and all other benefits of an officer.
After 2 years of service you can apply for Departmental Permanent Commission, but you should be less then 30 years in age, officers can also apply for post graduate course after getting the permanent commission
