How Newly commissioned officer choose his regiment in Indian Army?
Hi
THE question is certainly open ended.
Procedure
- Before passing out parade, there is a choice of arm conducted by manpower planning of army HQ.
- THE gentleman cadet needs to give three choices of arms and services.
- Whatever he gives, he needs to give three choices of infantry regiments.
- Rest, manpower planning has calculations and depending upon the merit the regiment or arm or services is awarded.
Hope it helps

i am in my 2 year of engineering how can I prepare for UES entry ? IS UES entry for indian army is closed .. what are the changes of getting it back ??
Dear Student,
UES entry is the university level exam, where everything will be based on your btech subjects and after the short interview of your college selection they will alot you the SSB. And after that you need to clear the SSB.
There is no need to prepare any extra for the UES entry.
Good Luck :)
Resp. Sir, how many candidates are called for Indian army 10+2 tes ?
Hello,
TES or Technical Entry Scheme is an opportunity by which aspirants can make a career in technical field in Indian Army. An important eligibility criteria is that the individual must have qualified JEE Mains Examination.
There are a total of 90 vacancies but they keep on changing (either increase or decrease) as per the requirement by the organisation. Also the TES Entry provides a permanent commission in Indian Army.
For TES Entry around 20,000 candidates are called for SSB.
Thank you.
Resp. Sir, tes 46 indian army notification published yesterday, are they giving ssb call on 12th pcm percentage or on jee main score?
Hello,
Online Application for TES -46 course has started on October 8, 2021 and students can fill the application till Nov 8, 2021.
TES-46 is Technical Entry Scheme. Candidates are required to fill their CRL Rank (Common Rank List of JEE MAINS Examination (BE/BTech.), JEE MAINS has been made compulsory for TES Entry from TES -46 onwards.
This eligibility criteria is to be fulfilled along with 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) in class XII .
Thank you.
Resp. Sir ,can I get call for SSB interview of tes 10+2 Indian army on 82.97 percentile in jee main and 62%in pcm?
Hey there,
Indian Army never releases any particular percentile as cut-off. But If you are across 75 percentile you can be considered as safe. As you have crossed 80 percentile. There are better chances for you to get a call for interview. This depends on the following factors :
- Number of Applicants
- Number of seats available..etc
The cutoff can never be predicted easily. All I can say is that there are chances or not. Never give up and keep up the spirit.
