Sir/Mam , I would like to know about full syllabus of CAT , XAT ,IIFT ,SNAP section wise like in Quants ,How many chapters are there ,what are they . what are the important topics which comes every year.Same as for other sections also. And what are the similarities in above entrance exams
QA can be categorised into Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Advanced Mathematics. Practise chapter by chapter and develop mental calculations. Like practise more of basic summation, subtraction, fractions and tables. Numbers, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Ratio, Proportionality, Time-Distance, Time-Work, Mixtures, Averages, Partnership, Permutation and Combinations, Probability, Set Theory, Progression and Series, Line, Angles, Triangles, Quadrilaterals, Polygon, Circles, Ares, Volume, Height and Distance, Coordinate Geometry, Basic Trigonometry are few important topics.
Because this section involves mathematics and takes most of your time, your focus should be on solving the problems efficiently in the beginning. Even if it takes time, practise upto perfection. Practise as many questions as you can in the conventional way. As and when you get a grip on the subject, you can go for short cuts. Memorise tables, square roots, cube roots, conversion from percent to fraction, etc. Solve sample papers on Mathematics. In the beginning, do not worry about the time it takes. As you practise, you will get the hang of the subject and it will be easier for you
In 10th-64%, 12th-55% ,Grads- pursuing If i manage to get 90-99%ile in CAT,XAT,IIFT,SNAP will i convert any calls from top 10 IIMs and top 10 B-school ?
Hii Rohit,
There are a number of other factors which judge whether you will get through even after getting a higher percentile. You subject in graduation subject, what cateogory you fall in. If you get 99 percentile in cat then for sure you'll get calls from some of the CAP IIMs, MDI, IMT and other b schools. This doesn't apply for other bschools in the category like IIFT or even SIBM. But still it still can't be predicted as to you will get a call or not. For your cat prep. You can start off by appearing for a mock test conducted free online and assess your performance that'll help you see and judge the areas you need improvement in and then decide if you need coaching or you can go on by yourself. You can either go for self study or Prepare with a tutor. For english prep. You can start off with Word Power Made easy, do this book twice, don't rush but read it and learn for 30-45 mins everyday. For Quants and LR-Di Arun sharma. Giving a mock a week and analyzing your strengths and weakness in terms of topics, score, percentile score and the time you are spending per question is really important.
Do take mocks religiously and you'll see how much it can affect your preparation in a positive manner.

In 10th-64%,12th-55% ,Grads - pursuing. If I get 90-99%ile in cat or xat or IIFT will i get calls from IIMs or any top 10 B-schools?
Getting a call from any IIM depends on a lot of factors such as CAT percentile, graduation subject and percentage, class X and XII marks, work experience if any etc.
An engineer would require higher percentile than a candidate in B.Sc degree.
For your profile, to get a call from top IIMs and B-Schools you'll need 99+ percentile. However this changes every year depending upon number of applicants.

Hello Aspirant.
Yes, you're eligible for getting admission into IIFT Delhi as, it requires atleast 50 percent marks in BSC course to get admission into it and as you've mentioned that you've scored 65 percent in it then you'll totally eligible to go and take admission into it.
Best of luck !
