As we go through the latest cut-off of 2020 then it shows that the closing SC rank was 9986 for Smart Manufacturing branch in IIIT Kancheepuram for SC category.

You've asked whether 4 years B. Tech from IIIT Basar or 5 years dual degree from IIIT Kanchipuram will be better. Pretty nice. I can tell you straight away to go and pursue your dual degree at IIIT Kanchipuram rather wasting your 4 years at IIIT Basar. This is because IIIT Kanchipuram provides the revised and updated syllabus also with hardware and lab facilities at its recent version. Faculties are passionate and dedicated towards the betterment for the students and are hard working and serious. Placement in this premier institute is average but the good figures will increase in the upcoming years. See if you want to learn more and develop better, then IIIT Basar is perhaps not a suitable choice.

I am sorry but it is not possible for you to get you preferred college and branch as your rank is quite low. The cut offs, even if they vary after the last rounds, would not make any huge difference and thus you would not be able to get it after round four as well. I would recommend you to choose other options besides this one. You can use the college predictor link as well.

         According to previous year counselling results, the predicted cut-off for the current year for Indian Institute of Information Technology. Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur has been mostly around 4000 and the highest of around and 6000 for SC category. Thus, it is quite difficult for you to get a seat in IITDM Jabalpur with your SC rank.

Placements are improving year by year in IIIT(K) especially for computer science students.The highest package in the year 2017-2018 was 13 lakhs,you can check the placement statistics in their official website.

IIITDM, Kurnool is an Engineering Institute located in Andhra Pradesh.

It offers three courses in 4-year B.E./B.Tech-

• Computer Engineering
• ECE with specialization in Design and Manufacturing
• Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Design and Manufacturing

The First Batch of this college got placed in 2019.

The Average Package overall was 4.77 LPA.

The Highest Package was 10 LPA offered by Navis.

The Lowest Package was 3.50 LPA.

The Placements are not that great but you can expect that it will grow in 4 years' time as it is a fairly new IIIT.

Teaching is decent, like any other Engineering college.

The professors are punctual and you will not face any problem on that front.
