Sir/Madam, I have 99% in 10th, 94.08% in 12th and 69% in bachelor degree. I belong to OBC-NC and my UG degree is in BA (ENGLISH LITERATURE). In CAT 2019, what score range should I get to receive calls from old IIMS and FMS ?
Dear Aspirant,
If you are aiming for IIM ABC ( Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta ) and Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi, then you have to score a minimum of 98 percentile. You can get it even at 95 percentile but since your graduation marks are low, you have to score a minimum of 98 to get a call from anyone of the above mentioned colleges.
hope this helps. Thank you.

IIMs shortlist candidates for the interview stage based on their own criteria, which may be independent of each other. The process may include Written Ability Test, Group Discussion, and Personal Interviews. Performance in the CAT examination is an important component in the admission process. IIMs may additionally use other factors such as the previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience, gender and academic diversity and other similar inputs in shortlisting and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process. The processes, academic cut-offs and the weights allocated to the evaluation parameters may vary across IIMs.

how much percentile required to get a chance in to IIM?
Hello Himel, Greetings!
CAT cutoffs for any individual IIM is not a single number and they vary highly depending on your profile.
IIM-A insists much on diversity so cutoff %ile depends on other people's marks of the same field. Academic scores(10th, 12th and Graduation) above 80–85% is kind of must. In CAT, Mostly for engineers it is above 99 %ile and for fresher boys it is even higher. Non engineer girls with a good profile can expect a call at 96–97%ile also.
IIM-B puts a lot of emphasis on work experience so for freshers it is way too tough. Equal emphasis on Academics like Ahmedabad.
IIM-C is most flexible with work ex and acads compared to A and B. CAT is usually above 99 %ile.
IIM Indore’s call is most specifically dependent on your 10th and 12th marks and those having a low score in it ( below 87–88) should not expect a call at any CAT %ile.
For new IIMs, there is a common interview which you have to appear if you have no call from old IIMs. They usually have a cutoff around 96%ile.
Thank you, hope this helps.

It is mandatory for the candidates who wish to pursue MBA from IIM Bangalore must register and apply for CAT 2019 before September 18, 2019 and must appear in the CAT 2019 exam on November 24, 2019. A balanced score in all the three sections of CAT 2019 and good academic profile is the key to get admission in IIM Bangalore.
I have 48.4% in class 10th , 49.6% in class 12th and 56% in b.com how much percentile i need to call from iim banglore and Ahmadabad
Hey Aashutosh! There is different eligibility criteria for different specializations. According to the general eligibility criteria the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. In case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) category, this is relaxed to 45%. The candidate may possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
Candidates appearing for the final year bachelor's degree / equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirement and are awaiting results can also apply. The candidate is required to have obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/DA category) based on latest available grades/marks.
I scored 74%,87% in 10th and 12th respectively and 67% in B. Sc. How much percentile I need to get call from IIM Bangalore.
Hey Aspirant!
Your score is not up to the mark, to be very honest. Because your score in 10th, 12th and in graduation matters a lot to get shortlisted in the IIM. But you may apply for CAT af course but to get shortlisted you must have to score above 99.5 percentile or may be 99.8 to get the chances of getting calls. Because there are lots of students who apply for CAT at the same timw you do.
So there will be hard competition with these marks you have scored. Please don't get offended. Try hard, practice a lot to get to the 100 percentile, not any college will regret calling you.
Thank you.
Hi sir I good 85% in 10th and 60%in puc and 8.5cgpa in engineering first year
Well, there are about twenty IIMs in India and the eligibility criteria is different for them all.
It is true that your academic performance plays a big role in giving edge to your Application. But,in case,if your academic performance is not good or average(as in your case),then to recover that you need to perform exceptionally well in your CAT. Score above 99 percentile(around 99. 4) to make it to IIM Bangalore or any top B-School. The final admission is after the group Discussions and personal Interview.
Hope this helps you.
Good luck.
Ive got 9.8 cgpa in 10th class,90% in inter and 9.3 cgpa in btech.how much percentile I want to secure in CAT to get seat in IIM Bangalore
Your academic performance is good. But the competition is really tough and there would be so many just like you who must be having the similar marks. However, you can stand out from the crowd by doing exceptionally well in your CAT. Try to score 99 percentile or above if you want to make it to IIM Banga. See,there are twenty IIMs and all of them have different eligibility criteria. The final admission will be after group Discussions and personal Interview.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
