I should apply for IIM IPM and preparation self so which book I choose for study?
No specific books are referred as the exam tests overall understanding in some areas, so one specific book may not suffice. No specific book can cover the whole syllabus asked in IPMAT. The key to crack this exam is to have strong basic knowledge of the subjects. If your concepts are clear, you have high chances to crack the exam. To prepare well, take test series for practice. Do a detailed analysis to work and improve your weak areas. After your 12th boards, you should intensely prepare for this exam.
Hope you understand,
Thank you
Is maths is compulsory to take in 12 to give exam for IIM and what the minimum percentage of 12 needed to give test... Plzzzzz answer
Hello Aman,
It is not compulsory to have maths in your +2 to be eligible to appear in CA and admissions to IIM. The minimum percentage requirement is of 50% in your bachelors degree.
However minimum percentage requirements do not guarantee a call from the institute. The shortlisting is based on various factors and weightage is given to your 10+2 and bachelors percentages along with other factors. Also, evert IIM has a separate method of shortlisting candidates.

I have got 83.46 percentile. But my DI section my percentile is low. I fall under general Category. Will I get shortlisted for any IIM?
If you clear the sectional cut off then you might recive a very few calls from the new IIMs however, chances are very less. But With 80+ Percentile the list goes quite narrow of decent bschools but you can go for the following:
1. BIMTECH, Greater Noida
2. BITS, Pilani
3. Christ University, Bangalore
4. Great Lakes, Gurgaon
5. IBS-H
6. FORE
7. LOYOLA
8. IRMA
9. NIT Rourkela

Does iims give scholarships to students instead of paying fees?If it what are the qualities and eligibity to acquire that?
Hello,
Every IIM has some form of need based financial assistance program as it is a mandate from MHRD. As a part of this, the institute offers tuition fee waiver of upto 100%, depending on the financial status and need of the applicant. Financial need is the sole basis of this aid rather than merit or an other parameter. Attributes such as academic performance, category (SC, ST, OBC etc), educational background and work experience of the student will not be considered (although such information is asked in the application form).
The college has a two-step process to decide on the number of awardees and the amount of aid. In the first stage, the applicants are rated based on the following criteria – family income , property, savings and outstanding loans. Based on this rating, some of the applicants are called for a personal interaction with faculty panels. During these interactions, faculty panels evaluate each applicant’s liquidity, credit-worthiness, and affluence; and arrive at a rank order of candidates. Based on the weighted average scores of these parameters, applicants are provided 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% or no aid.
The following gives an example of the scheme at IIM Calcutta and would be more or less similar to what the other IIMs grant. There might be a revision in the income slab limits and % aid offered at each slab. Family income is used for calculation and it includes your income as well.
Income up to Rs 300,000 = 100% of Tuition fee waiver amount
Income greater than Rs 300,000 and up to Rs 400,000= 75% of Tuition fee waiver amount
Income greater than Rs 400,000 and up to Rs 500,000= 50% of Tuition fee waiver amount
Income greater than Rs 500,000 and up to Rs 600,000= 25% of Tuition fee waiver amount
Apart from this, eligible students can also avail scholarshipsfrom the Central Government and various State Governments, industry scholarships, and alumni.
hope this helps..
Dear Sir/Maam, if a candidate is not financially strong enough to afford the expenses of IIMs, what are the other options available.
Banks generally have a list of colleges segregated as AAA, AA, A, B etc. All IIMs and top B schools mostly fall under the highest category. In this scenario we get 100% education loan. Added to this, many banks also give a collateral free loan I.e your admission in IIM itself will make you eligible for a loan provided you give address and ID proofs. The signature of your parents or relative or any asset as a collateral will not be needed. The banks also give no interest loan during the 2years of education which is also called the interest free period. So you can start paying or clearing the loan once you join the Job after MBA.
Sir, I secured 56.81% in 10th, 61.40% in 12th arts, and 54% in B.A. degree. I belong to sc would i get a call from iim.
Depends alot on your Cat percentile.
If you can provide that info I can suggest it if you can get it or not.
Generally your academics are average but with a very high Cat percentile given that you belong to reservation category there are still chances for you.
If you need accurate information kindly use our Cat path finder tool from the link below.

Good Luck!
Is my design right to do mba. I given cat exam and mat also but not eligible for iim so help me to choose other best college?
Hello Juhi,
As you have not provided your score for respective exams, so it would be difficult to say which colleges will call you to for the admission process. As different colleges have different cutoff by which they shortlist student.
As for the decision to do MBA is right or not depends on what are your life goals and from which college do you want to complete your MBA.
