Now you haven't mentioned your Category. Neverthless, if you have received a call, you will be asked to submit a detailed online application, including a statement of purpose, semester/year wise marks in Bachelor's, copies of all transcripts and certificates, work experience certificates if applicable, Category and PWD certificates if applicable. Only those Candidates shortlisted in this phase will be called in for Personal Interview which happens in Phase 2.During Phase 2 all confirmed candidates will receive an email with a link to the webpage where in they are required to confirm their interest in pursuing their Candidature at IIM-V. Those Candidates who have confirmed their interest, will be considered for Phase 2 and the shortlist will be prepared. In this phase, the Candidate's percentage scores in the 10th and 12th board exams are adjusted by dividing each score by the 90th percentile score obtained in that board. The database of 10th and 12th scores of all CAT applicants of past 2 years is used for identifying the 90th percentile. The final scores obtained are used for the Bachelor's degree and professional degree if any.
The Work experience is calculated using the below formula:
Score for Work Experience = 8x/36 (if 0 < x < 36)
= 8 (if x >= 36)
Where x is the months of work experience upto July.
You haven't mentioned if you have any work experience. So. for those candidates who do not have work experience, the weightage will be as follows:
CAT=40
10th board=12
12th board=10
Bachelors=20 Diversity=10 {Gender (Female & transgender)/Non-engineer}
Work Experience=8
In CAT 40 points, 10 points are for QA, DILR takes 16 points and VRC takes 14 points. CAT scores, 10th board, 12th board, Bachelor's, Diversity, Work experience or Professional course details are used to prepare a pre PI rank list based on which a second shortlist of Candidates will be prepared. This list is used for assessment through PI and WAT. And the final score is calculated on the basis of:
PI Score (weight=25)
WAT Score (weight=5)
CAT (weight=25)
10th board (weight=5)
12th board (weight=5)
Bachelors (weight=10)
Diversity {Gender (Female & transgender)/Non-engineer} (weight=20)
Weighted Work Experience (weight=5)
The final offer of admission is strictly made on the basis of ranks in each Category on the final aggregate score. IIM-V follows a comprehensive multi criteria process to be able to identify many Candidates who have an excellent academic record and work experience. If there is anyone who had to be in the first shortlist but missed the high score of CAT, such Candidates effectively replace Candidates who have only high CAT score but poor academic records and work experience. IIM-V prioritizes consistent and high performance in past academics. In your favour are your academic marks which have been consistent and so, you might have a strong chance at IIM Visakhapatnam.

My 10th Marks are 95%, 12th marks 94.2% and graduation 78%, is it possible to get a call from the top IIM
Hii,
Academic marks are Important and will play a crucial role in getting the Admission to pursue MBA/PGDM in IIM. But the main prerequisite is you should get more than 95 percentile in CAT exam to get Interview call from IIM's. After getting the Interview call from IIM, one should perform well in GD and Personal Interview inorder to get the admission. Your Academics are good, Try to get a good CAT Score.
I why should you iim k call .if I score ssc 65% HSC 60% can I get call for iim k ?
Hello,
Sorry but you won't get an admission as you have to get 70-80% in your 10th and 12th to get an admission at any IIM campus. You can try for other private institutes or government colleges which offer MBA degree. They can consider it. But there will be a screening test for it else you have to appear exam like CAT,XAT,MAT, or universities have their own exam to intake students also.
No need to be feel bad for it. You can do best in future for sure. Keep on trying. We can't change rules but have to follow them but we can change our performance with our hardwork.
Hope it helps!
