Will cut-off of JEE ADVANCED for IISc Bangalore come down as KVPY is now abolished??
Hello Aspirant,
Yes, it is right that kvpy has been removed to get admission in iisc Bangalore but that doesn't mean that the cut offs will come down because it depends on many factors such as :-
- Number of applicants applying for iisc Bangalore
- Difficulty level of the examination in different years.
- Previous year cut offs
- Number of seats in the college
If all these factors are to be considered then it is expected that the cut off shall come down this year but again many things govern the cut offs.
what is the cutoff for ST candidates at IISC Bangalore for a Btech at maths and computation?
I cant apply for KVPY due to not in basic sciences ug program , are there any other ways to get into IIsc for bachelors??
Hi reader,
the mode of getting entry in IISC is as follows:
If a candidate is in Class 12th , he/she can get entry in IISC for pursuing ug courses through KVPY , JEE ADVANCED and IAT exams
if a candidate is pursuing B.Tech B.Arch then through GATE , CAT , GMAT you can apply for masters courses.
If a candidate is pursuing B.sc he/she can get entry into IISC by appearing for KVPY SB exam.
assuming that you have passed your 12th and currently pursuing a course except B.Sc ( based on the fact that you are not able to appear for kvpy) you can not pursue the ug courses through IISC.
for more information regarding KVPY you can refer

hope this answer helps you

Hi!
Yes, you can definitely join IISc provided you have done any one of the following bachelors degrees- BTech, BE, BArch. You can check out the following exams for the same- GATE, JEST, CEED, CAT, GMAT. Other option is to do your masters and then apply for a PhD.
i am doing bsc from ccs. I am passed out class 12th in 2020 If i gain fellowship of KVPY SB 2021 can i eligible for IISC 2022 ?
Dear Aspirant,
If you qualify KVPY SB and secure a good rank after the interview round then surely you will be eligible to study in IISC!
