Coming to your question about changing your branch in the second year, you can do that but that depends on a number of factors. Firstly, you'll have to maintain a really good cgpa throughout your first year and secondly it depends on the number of seats available in the following year.

So yes there is a fair chance of changing your branch.

see every year cutoff score changes, and it varies college to college, cutoff score depends on various factors like number of participants, question difficulty level, seat matrix , students category etc. now you did not mention which of the engineering branches you are from, if you are from cse/ ee/ece/mechanical there is really less chances for iit mumbai.

Okay so you mean you've completed your graduation of btech already in CS branch and now you want to be a part of IIT BOMBAY. Yes it's possible. You can get a seat there for MTech. But for that you'll need to prepare and score very well in the GATE entrance examination.

you need to find your interest before leaving IIT BOMBAY CSE as IIT BOMBAY CSE  confirms you a minimum pay of 15LPA.

but if you find your interest, be it in anything, photography, graphic designing, you should then leave IIT BOMBAY CSE.

BUT LEAVING IIT BOMBAY CSE IS NOT A GOOD THING, 

REMEMBER THOSE DAYS OF JEE PREPARATION AFTER WHICH YOU LANDED IN IIT BOMBAY
