x+1/x is equal to 3 so x to the power4 +1/xto the power 4 is what

Afrin Hossain 24th Jan, 2020

Hello ,

The answer will be 47 .

As x+1/x= 3

Squaring both sides ;

x²+1/x² + 2.x.(1/x)= 9

x²+1/x²=9-2=7

Now again squaring it we get;

x+1/x+2.x².(1/x²)=49

x+1/x= 49-2 = 47.

So the required answer is 47 .

I got 90 .231.. percentile in January 2020 exam and IAM obc can get a seat in nit warangal home quato?? civil branch please reply

manisha.gupta 23rd Jan, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

It would be difficult to provide you the information about the admission possibilities. As per the previous year cutoff, The chances are less to get a seat in NIT warangal or any other NIT civil branch. You can go for the state level counselling like Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, MP Etc.

I would also suggest you to appear for JEE Main 2020 April Session again if you wish to get admission in NITs, IIITs & GFTIs.

To know your admission possibilities in state level counselling, You can use JEE Main College Predictor tool given below.

Good Luck!

I cleared class12 in 2018 and I applied for JEE ADV but didnt attempt that year, I was makred absent in the exam. later, in 2019 I gave improvements in all subjects and I attempted JEE ADV but didnt qualify that year. so, am I eligible to give my second attempt for JEE ADV in 2020? Please help me!

Dhruv Anurag 23rd Jan, 2020

Greetings aspirant,

A candidate can appear for JEE Advanced only two times: (provided he/she cleared JEE Mains)

1) In the year, the candidate gave his class 12th boards exam and the next year after that.

There won't be any third chance for a candidate under any circumstances. So I suggest you to keep your focus primarily on JEE Mains. Good luck.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 23rd Jan, 2020

hi,

see gate and ceed exam is not for you as you are in 11th , gate or ceed  exam can be attempted  by candidates who are already graduate or in final year of graduation in relevant discipline.

as you want to take admission in iits, you need to apply for uceed exam which is the undergraduate design entrance of iits, also you need to apply for jee main exam, which is the common entrance test of engineering, basis on jee main score candidates may appear in jee advance exam, which is the gate way entrance exam of admission in iits for btech courses.

hope it would help.

Vikas gehlot 19th Jan, 2020

The maximum marks for JEE advanced is not fixed and it keeps on changing every year therefore it is hard to tell you how much marks you need to have to get a seat into Indian institute of technology Delhi.

but what remains same is rank to have a sit into IIT Delhi for computer science and engineering you need to have less than 150 rank in all India if you belong to general category.

Nihal Kumar Gupta Student Expert 14th Jan, 2020

Hi Das,

As you have secured a average percentile score in CAT. And to get other IIM , you need to have a CAT percentile of 95+. As you have secured only 82.26 percentile in CAT you would only get call from other institutes. On the percentile secured by you in CAT Exam , you will get some good colleges. The colleges you get are:

NIT Trichy

IMT Hyderabad

BITS Pilani

JNU Jaipur

Gautam Budh University Greater Noida

MDSU Ajmer

GIM Chennai

XIME Kochi

Garden City University Bangalore

After the declaration of the result the merit list will be made  to call the candidate for the interview round. The merit list comprises of your CAT percentile, your graduation marks, your work experience, your 10th and 12th marks. You would get a call from the above institutes.

how to get into indian institute of technology.

Siddhi Shenoy 9th Jan, 2020

Hi Darshan,

The Indian Institute of Technology is the most reputed college in the country for Engineering. To gain admissions, you need to first pass your 12th standard will 75% or above and with PCM as your main subjects. Then, you need to answer JEE-mains, which is one of the most competitive examinations in the world. After you clear Mains, you will have to  answer JEE-Advanced. IITs take admissions only on the basis of Advanced scores. A rank of 2500 and lower is considered safe for IITs.
