Can I apply for mtech in iits 2020 with BC certificate because I dont have obc certificate available at present at the same time iit delhi applying date is going to close early

Apoorva Student Expert 18th Mar, 2020

Hello dear student,

If you don't have the certificate right now at the time of filling fir the application it's not a problem but you just need to have the certificate when you get selected . at the time of document verification you must have it , if you will not be able to do so then they will not entertain you. It will even cost you the cancellation of your selection.  If in the application form it's asking to upload the form then also you cannot proceed the form but if you are certain that you will get your certificate before the documentation process then you can surely proceed. I hope I was able to make you understand this and I hope this was helpful .

Best wishes

Deepshikha Student Expert 18th Mar, 2020
Hey,
The qualifying cutoff for GATE has been declared.GATE qualifying cutoff or simply GATE cutoff is the minimum marks which candidates have to score to qualify the exam. Every year the cutoff varies depending upon the number of candidates appearing in the examination,Category etcetra. Now for admission every institution will release Its own cutoffs.
Civil Engineering is a vast branch and M.Tech offers specialized course and every institution offers various subjects within Civil Engineering and cutoff is different for all.
IIT Delhi has yet not released the adnission cutoff. But,based on the previous years cutoffs, the chances for you are less.

MANIT: Computer Networking

i am expecting a rank below 50 or below100(in worst case scenario)in GATE CSE2020,but my cgpa is 6.3.Will i be able to get a direct admission in IIT Delhi(wanted to join only here as my brother is in btech in IIT Delhi) ?

lubhan cherwoo 11th Mar, 2020

Hi,

For admission in any IIT,the minimum percentage requirements in BE course is 60% and above for general and around 55-58% for OBC, SC, ST.

So if you are planning for Mtech  in IIT Delhi then you need a percentage above 60% in your undergraduate course and the selection will be done on the basis on GATE rank only.

The number of seat available and most importantly the previous year cutoff trends. So ,here  I am providing you previous year rank cut- off so that you can have a little idea about this year .
For Electrical engineering:-
