What is special about an IITIAN?
Nothing is special about an IITIAN they are human which you also are, still they have a tag of IIT which gives them a fame And majorly they get into IIT after cracking a toughest exam JEE advanced which shows their hardworking quality , and it is not necessary that all IITIAN do the same buckle down also after getting in to it, so that's why they do not get placed , still nothing is special they only have tag , and they have good options of placement but it depends upon their skills and knowledge whether they will place or not
Best of luck.
I got both in mock rounds 1 and 2 ..iit gandhinagar... So will I get for sure gandhinagar or some other iit or not at any iit??
Hello Bicky,
At your rank, it is difficult slightly for a branch shift given the fact that you lie in a high density region so to speak. So the chances of upgradation or shifting are minimal if you look at it. However, silly things happen during the process of counselling so keep your hopes alive.
All the best.
I got iit gandhinagar in mock round 1...i got SC rank 2262..so can I get some near iit?? I live in assam?? Can I get iit Guwahati?
Hello aspirant!
Your chances of getting IIT Guwahati with a SC rank of 2262 is quite difficult. However, you might upgrade to better IITs in round 2 than Gandhinagar.

Sir, Can you tell me that What was cut-off Marks for IIT-GANDHINAGAR in Civil branch for OBC of last two years????
Hii Meet Sarvaiya,
This is a quite typical question you have asked as the trend and paper pattern of JEE Advanced changes every year.
But coming to your question:
First let me inform you that JEE Advanced rank depends not only on the marks but also depends a lot on the difficulty of the paper. So in my opinion one must observe ranks based on the percentage not marks.
For IIT Gandhinagar (Civil engineering)
in 2018 :
You must have a rank in range of 2320 - 2690. for this rank you can expect a score of 40% to be at the safer zone. which implies that if you score approximate 40% marks in JEE Advanced 2018 then you can get into IIT Gandhinagar Civil, which approximates to 140-150 marks out of 360.
in 2017:
You must have a rank in range of 1680 - 1960. for this rank you can expect a score of 150-160 marks out of 366 to be at the safer zone. which implies that if you score approximate 40% marks in JEE Advanced 2018 then you can get into IIT Gandhinagar Civil.
So, in my view focus on your studies and hope for the best and dont ever check marks for jee advanced because it chnages every year. in an average try to score 40% marks in your exam to meet your said target.
All the best!
what is prosses of admission..?
Hello
If you're looking for bachelor's degree, then you will have to fill the JEE Mains application form. If you qualify JEE Mains, then you get to sit for JEE Advanced. And your admission in this college depends on your rank in JEE Advanced. Cut off is released after the exam.
For Mtech, either you have to score the required cut off in GATE exam or you should have at least 8 CGPA in BTECH from any IIT.
Hope this helps!
Expecting around 620+ Score and rank of 1900-2100. Any chance of New IIT Mtech/Ms by research (IIT gandhinagar, patna etc).
Hello Yash.
Well I can help u in that. See u have a scored a good score which can help u take admissions in good colleges for ur further studies.
See for IIT Delhi and top IITs u must be having a score above 700 to get admissioned there. But u can apply for IIT Gandhinagar like new IITs for ur studies. U may also opt for good NITs for ur further courses like NIT TRICHY and other top colleges
