Which is better? Nit trichy cse vs iit indore metallurgy
Hi dear aspirant,
You are asking about which one is better so in simple words would say the National Institute of Technology, Trichy is the best among all. In fact, for any course, NIT Trichy offers better placements and quality education that a student needs.
Also, the reputation of this college is best and holds more value than any other as compared to other colleges.
I would suggest you go with NIT Trichy if you get the opportunity to study.
Also, you have mentioned CSE. Computer Science and Engineering is one of the best and valuable branches as compared to recent times. The need for IT engineers is increasing day by day. If you have internet in government or metallurgy related fields then go with metallurgy.
Talking about IIT Indore. See, talking about an IIT tag if you want to add the tag then go with IIT Indore but you must understand the value in future.
A wise decision is always appreciated.

hi I have got 8394 rank in JEE ADVANCE. My preference is good IIT. I am male and general catagory. please suggest
Hi
This is a bit difficult to predict the rank required in to get a seat as cut off keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like
----------) number of students that appeared in the jee advanced exam,
----------) kind of marks obtained by them ,
----------) toughness level of the examination ,
----------) number of seats available for the branch you want etc.
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then ,
>>>>>>>> with 8394 rank
As per round 6 of josaa counselling, 2020 ,
You have chances in following :-
--------------) Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar:- civil engineering:-11238
--------------) Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar:-Mechanical Engineering and M. Tech. in Thermal Science & Engineering (5 Years, Bachelor and Master of Technology (Dual Degree)):- 9476
--------------) Indian Institute of Technology Indore:- civil engineering:-8464
--------------) Indian Institute of Technology Dharwad:-electrical engineering:-9130
And a few more,
You can check the same at

Above prediction is on the past year data basis but cut closing rank for colleges changes every year depending upon several factors so

I got 50000 rank in obc category. which nit or iit I can apply to get seat for ece or civil engineering branch
Hi.
Based on your category rank, under Other State seat (since you did not mention your home state) you will not be able to get into majority of NITs due to high cut-off under OBC ranks, under either Civil or Electronics and Communication Engineering. However, you may have decent chances under Home State quota. You can post a new question mentioning that as well.
You can use our College Predictor tool for JEE Mains to help you in finding college and branch of your choice based on your merits in the exam.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck

Whats the pattern of internal and end semester exams that are held in M.Sc Astronomy? I mean the number of questions, mcq or theoretical, openbook or take home or anything else?
Hello Aspirant,
The eligibility criterion for M.Sc. Astronomy is to clear graduation from a recognized institute. The admission process of the course is an entrance exam taken by colleges which is followed by a personal interview. The average fee for the Master of Science in astronomy candidates is INR 5000 to INR 2,00,000.
To get admission in the undergraduate astronomy courses, various Universities/colleges conduct their own entrance test. one of the such entrance test is called IISC (Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore) that provides admission to undergraduate courses offered by IISc.
The core subjects of study in astronomy include ;
- Physics.
- Mathematics.
- Quantum mechanics.
- Celestial and fluid mechanics.
- Positional Astronomy.
- Space physics.
- Astronomical techniques.
- Electromagnetic waves and radiating system.
There is no open book such thing, the exams are conducted in college itself.

All the best!!
my marks is 203 in jee mains march 2021 , but why my percentile is 71.2 ???? is there any possibility of getting any good NIT or GFIT or trible iit ?? I am from OBC class
This Student,
this can't be possible that one who scored 203 marks and got only 71 type percentile, maybe you should have done any mistakes while matching the answer key or your misunderstanding led you to this.
Anyways, you can't get any colleges through JOSSA counselling because of low rank and percentile so better if you take a drop for the next year preparation or take admission in some private college. List of some top private colleges are given below, you can consider them before taking admission in any of them.
- Amity University
- JIIt
- KIIT
- Thapar
- LPU
- Sharda
- Chandigarh University
- SASTRA
- PEC
- Amrita school of engineering
- SRM NCR
- AKTU colleges of NCR region.

I am obc female if I get 120 marks in JEE advanced. which IIT I get a chance .
Hi
Congratulations for making upto jee advanced examination.
It is very difficult to predict the actual jee advanced rank from your score. It changes every year based on different factors like how many candidates appeared, how tough the paper was along with how many seats are available in different IITS and performance of candidates appeared.
Based on your score your rank should be around 6000 to 12000. The IITs you may get are:
IIT ( ISM) dhanbad
IIT guwahati
IIT kharagpur
IIT dharwad
IIT ropar
All this are based on the predicted rank, which is subjected to vary and this is not an official data. It is solely based on previous years cutoff. If your rank is less than 8000 you have a chance in IITs.

which iit i will get if i have score 180 in jee advanced
with 180 marks on JEE Advance you can expect to get a rank around 1000 . Although rank can vary either side drastically because the rank is totally relative and depends on many parameters like the candidate's performance, other student's performance, the difficulty of the exam, number of students attended the exam etc.
Still, you can expect to get a rank in the range where he will have a good chance of ending into a decent IIT with a decent engineering stream.
