IIT Kanpur is a government Institution and such, the fees are lower as compared to many other private Institutions. The total fee structure for MTech In mechanical engineering is around 11,750 for the entire 2 year course for applicants belonging to the ST Category.
The fee structure for the same includes fees for tuition, admission, library, examination, gymnasium, medical, students' amenities subscription, lab contingency, personal accident insurance and membership for SHMC.
The fee structure is divided over 4 semesters resulting in about 5142/- for the first semester and 2192/- for the rest of the three semesters.

For getting admission into IIT Kanpur, with CSE, you need to score 99.5+ percentile in JEE Advanced. You need to be in the top 100 students to get admission into IIT Kanpur. You should rank atleast 80 in your category, to be on the safe side. It's a little tough, and the competition is high, but if you try hard, you can achieve your dreams. Stay focused and study hard.

I HAVE GATE SCORE 427 GENERAL CATEGORY. CAN I GET IIT BHU MTECH CERAMIC ENGG . OR MATERIAL SCIENCE IN IIT BHU OR IIT KANPUR?
If you General category candidate then it is pretty difficult to get Material Science in IIT BHU. IIT Kanpur is out of Reach.
Last year the cutoff was around 630 for IIT BHU. I know coutoffs varies from yera to year but in this case it is difficult to vary that much.
