I secured 95 percentile in IIT Mains, I have qualified in IIT Advance. In which IIT can I get Computer Science ?
Admission in IIT is done theough JEE Advanced ranks and not on the basis of JEE Mains rank. For getting CSE, you need to have a decent rank instead of just clearing the cutoffs. Kindly mention your rank for better clarification. Please note that this prediction is completely based on 2018 cutoffs. Also, take care of the fact that cutoffs can vary from year to year depending upon factors like number if seats available, number of students appearing for the examination, difficulty level of the paper etc.
I hope it helps. For any further queries regarding this, ask me in the comments.
What should be my rank in jee advance to get IIT ROORKEE OR IIT KHARAGPUR CS BRANCH being an obc candidate of Jharkhand ?
To get CSE branch in IIT Kharagpur or IIT Roorkee you need to score a rank below 400.Because both of these IITs are among the top IITs and computer science engineering is most popular B.Tech branch.
Hope I am clear
Hi..I scored 481 in GATE 2019 EE.I belong to SC category. Is there any chance for me to get direct admission at IIT Roorkee or kanpur ?
Hello Shashi,
As for your question, you have a good chance of being selected for admission in IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur the chance for electrical is lesser. Also, you might be able to get IIT Bombay as its Electrical Engineering is slightly less preferred in comparison to Kanpur.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level post-graduate entrance exam that is jointly conducted by the seven IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Guwahati, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore for admission to M.Tech programmes offered by government as well as many private institutes.
GATE 2019 was organized by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras in online mode on February 2, 3, 9 and 10, 2019.
COAP is conducted by IITs (IIT Madras in 2019) to facilitate admissions of aspirants in M.Tech programs of IITs. The candidates after applying to the IITs of their choice on the basis of the GATE scores, have to necessrily apply for COAP.
CCMT is conducted for admissions to M.Tech programs of NITs by different NITs (NIT Rourkela in 2019).

Which is the best college for MBA between Delhi school of economics and IIT Roorkee
MBA at DSE Department of commerce is the best thing you can do if you are ago-getter.
So what do I mean?
Well, its not a fancy college with state of the art learning centre, or a simulations centre or even great computer labbutwhat it does gives a student here is an opportunity.
What opportunity?
You know the fees is 15K, right? And that cut off is over 90 percentile, and that the college is 9am to 5pm and what you do with remaining time is all yours! Students here dont just attend lectures and guests lectures, they participate, and perform great in Business competitions held at different B Schools. Here the faculty plays very little role beyond the lectures. And yes thats an opportunity.
Everything here is ran by students and for the students
Every guest lecture and industry expert that comes here is brought by one of the students.
Every event hosted on large scale is a result of teamwork of students. Every decision for students is by the students.
Every company that brings live projects, internships, placements, is result of what the students studying here and alumni do.
Yes, its a lot of effort for someone who just wants do his MBA, But this is where we actually do our MBA.
How are placements here?
They are exactly how the batch of a year is and that means it rises and falls based on the profiles of students.
We are averaging around 9 this year, keeping in mind its been a bad placement season, and this years internships are better than last years. Which translates to better placements next year.
Campus/Infrastructure?
We get the bare minimum compared to those Private B schools, its a typical Delhi university campus, with a great scenery and an old heritage to offer. This is just a nice way of saying, no, there is no infrastructure, old typical government building rooms, horrid washrooms from the time of Manmohan Singh apparently (the guy because of whom this college is still relevant and you know if its existence :P).Some of us here got cultural shock as, this is a scary way of doing MBA.
When should you pick DSE over other colleges?
If you are a fresher, and you scored between 90 to 95, You cant go wrong with this choice.
If you have terrific work ex, and a good undergrad college, you canprobably getone of the good companies in other colleges in the same percentile bracket, and you should do that if you are okay with a heavy investment.
But it says IB or HRD. I am not sure if I want to pick a major yet!
In that case ours is the first college in India to offer a professional IB course, the parent course started in 1985, students here go into finance, marketing, consulting and all kinds of branches, and HR started in 1995 and is in top 10 of India.
Also being amazingly cost effective, some students from IB even do CFA and another masters from a foreign university, to enrich their profile (after saving on the fees :P)
Student life?
We have all those pros of student life that are at the heart of north campus.
The batch intake here is small, so you will get to know most of the students who take admission here very well, and will be in close touch with your seniors.
Being student driven, there are some mild politics, but you will learn to ignore them. There are several committees and cells to cater to various aspects of college (again, all driven by students).
This is an experience shared by the student of Delhi campus.

Which is better? IIT roorkee ECE or IIT BHU CSE
Hello Ranjan In my point of view. I think best choice Roorkee is best option
What are my chances this year to get direct M. Tech. admission in IIT Roorkee or IIT Guwahati in subsequent rounds of COAP?
Hello Yogesh,
There are decent chances of getting a seat in M.tech in above colleges, till now you have not been called because most of the higher marks candidate have already reserved the seat, they may go for PSUs and PSUs result are out mostly in july ,so then they will leave the seat,so till then you have to wait.As per your marks you have decent score for getting admission ,so you will be called in 4th or 5th round of COAP. You may also check the link below for cutoffs of previous and other details. I hope it helped.
