The cut off marks will depend on the exam difficulty level and the number of the candidates appeared in the examination. Every year, IIT Roorkee releases cut off marks to fill M.Tech seats accordingly. The cut off will also vary according to the subject.

Yes, for admission in M.Tech  in Disaster mitigation and management from IIT Roorkee, the selection criteria is 70% GATE normalized marks and 30% interview. For Main GATE Discipline, the previous cutoff was 27.49 (year 2017) and 28.61 (year 2016) for general category.
