Indian Maritime University conducts it's own entrance test termed as IMU-CET. On the basis of performance in this test admission is offered. Application portal is still open to apply for IMU-CET. Exams will be held in first week of june. Marine engineering is a new branch with unexplored opportunities you can definitely go for it

Well just clear the exam first. Once the counseling begins, you will have to fill in your priorities for the course you want to take admission in and accordingly you will get admission if you clear the cut off of your desired course.

Yes,  Indian Maritime University does provide sponsorship to students. Eminent companies such as Fleet Shipmanagemet and others sponsor the students. You can register for them if you meet the eligibility criteria. 

As for Anglo-eastern and Tolani, if you qualify their final entrance test (IMU-CET) only then you will be eligible for counseling and will be contacted by them.

See it depends upon company to company. If you got a sponsorship from a company who already have their college then you have to go to theirs college this type of companies are Anglo Eastern, Great Eastern etc. But if you're getting sponsorship from a company who doesn't have it's own College then you have to go for the counselling of IMU.

The registration process for IMU CET will start in the  First week of April 2019. And the  Final date to fill and submit the application form of IMU CET 2019  will be in the Second week of May 2019. There is no provision for submission of late form or fees provided as of now. Hence it would be advisable to submit the form within the time period given.
