Hello,
You cannot give the exam for admission in B.tech as the minimum elgibility required is 10+2 or an equivalent exam with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together and 50% in English.
for admission in B.sc same eligibility criteria is required. But for admission in BBA, 10+2 or equivalent exam in any stream with minimum 60% marks overall and minimum 50% marks in English subject.
Admission in BBA is done hrough your marks in the qualifing exam whose application form will be available from April 6, 2019 til June 20, 2019
For others it is based on IMU CET score whose application form will be available from April 6, 2019 till May 11, 2019

Sir, Im pursuing my engineering from mechanical department and want to have a job in naval department. Can I still enroll?
Hi Rushikesh,
If you are studying mechanical engineering and wish to get a job in the naval department or merchant navy per say, then you can do so by becoming a marine engineer using your mechanical engineering degree. To become a Marine Engineer you need a B.Tech Mechanical degree with a minimum aggregate of 60%, you should be less than 28 years of age and lastly, you should have scored 50% marks in English at the 10+2 level.
Mechanical and marine engineering courses have quiet a few subjects in common and this makes it easier for a mechanical engineering student to get an additional degree in marine and open new doors of opportunities.
A one year Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) course after mechanical engineering would give students the licence to enter merchant navy.
Eligibility criteria:
- Graduation in BE (Mechanical) Engineering / Naval Architecture with minimum marks of 50% in final year
- Must have minimum 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th or in Degree Exam.
- Must not be more than 28 years old
- Should satisfy all health requirements that are necessary to join the merchant navy.
Some of the prominent institutes offering GME course are:
- Academy of Maritime Education & Training, Chennai
- Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies, Lonavala, Maharashtra
- Vels Academy of Maritime Education and Training, Chennai
- International Maritime Institute Ltd, Greater Noida
I hope this has given you a little clarity and guidance regarding your career aspiration. I wish you all the best, please feel free to reach out to me for any assistance.

Can I get admission for naval architecture through nata in Maharashtrara?
For Doing Naval Architecture from Indian Maritime University or colleges affiliated to Indian Maritime University, Chennai . You first need to give Indian Maritime University common entrance test (IMU-CET) which is conducted once in a year for engineering department. After clearing that exam you have to go for the counselling process depending upon the rank in IMU CET you'll get the college. You can check imu.edu.in for further details.
For affiliated colleges you have to separately apply on their websites but for that you also have to clear IMU-CET first . Different affiliated institutes have different selection procedures.
