hai i am an indian navy aspirant and a girl . for most of the postings they ask for the education qualification to be B tech degree in any discipline . please tell me which all b tech degrees should i go for ? which will best support my career? please answer i am in tension.
Hi,
Indian navy is offering a wide range of opportunities for women. The posts available are ATC, Observer, Law, Logistics, Education, Naval Architecture, Pilot (Maritime Reconnaissance Stream only), and Naval Armament Inspectorate(NAI). Among these, for all the provisions except education and law, BE/B tech degree is mandatory. So, if you are a naval aspirant, make sure that you choose B tech as your higher degree.
Choosing a branch must be a wise decision. Mechanical engineering is the only branch that can make you eligible for all the naval jobs. But, if there is no right aptitude, mechanical engineering is not suitable for women as it involves so much physical exertion. Electronics and Electrical engineering are the best branches you can seek for. They are more easily available as a course and have a lot of job opportunities. But, if you are choosing electrical or electronics engineering you can’t apply to the post of naval architecture. If you have specific interests in architecture, go for civil engineering. Also, understand your desire and aptitude nothing can cope with that.
As a conclusion, the steps you must follow are:
-
Go to the official website of the Indian Navy and identify job opportunities
-
Identify the job best suited for you
-
Choose the branch of engineering that suits your ideal job
Hope this was helpful.
All the best!

hai my name is sreelakshmi and i want to be a pilot in indian navy after a B tech degree .so which branch should i choose OTHER THAN aeronautical engg?please answer
Dear Aspirant,
If you want to become a pilot after the BTECH then you have to give the AFCAT exam. For that pupose if you are not interested in the aeronautical engineering or not getting aeronautical engineering for some reasons then I suggest you should Go with computer science as apart from AFCAT you will also be able to get many other jobs with CSE.
Hope this helps. THank you.
I havent received my marksheet from school yet, i am filling Indian Navy form, they ask me for serial number, where can i find that
Dear Participant it is very enthusiastic that you want to be part of Indian Navy, if you haven't received your marksheet from school yet then you can fill the roll number provided by board, if for further rounds it ask for certificate and still you didn't received it, then you can ask your school write a reference letter to whoever it may concern that they haven't provided the marksheet yet.
Good luck!!
