So you cannot get admission to second year B.Tech course through lateral entry after passing in Diploma in Electronics Engineering (Digital Electronics & Microprocessor). It offers admission to under Graduate B.Tech course (First year). And the candidates seeking admission to B.Tech course must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry in with minimum 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. For candidates belonging to SC/ST, Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura need to score minimum 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

You can get admission in to any other institute offering admission to second year B.Tech through lateral entry. You must apply for admission separately. For the admission of Btech students in MAIT, it is through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and IPU CET is considered only for lateral entry.Further, candidates have to participate in the IPU CET counselling.The college also conducts a common entrance test (CET) to get admission in B.Tech and MBA. The students of B.Tech are selected as per their performance in CET along with the marks obtained in JEE whereas the for admission in MBA,  the basis of candidates scores in CAT /CMAT or IPU CET.

For admission in MIST, into UG programs,  the admission is via the student's JEE Mains Paper 1 performance. Further, candidates have to appear for the counselling process conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.For lateral entry into a B.Tech course after completion of B.Sc degree, candidates need to appear for the IPU CET Examination. For amission into Applied Sciences courses like Physics, Chemistry, Workshop and Mathematics, candidates must qualify IPU CET.Students to be selected via CET are then referred to an offline counselling session where admission is done on the basis of merit.

Guru govind singh indraprastha University conducts IPU CET every year for various undergraduate and postgraduate programs which includes engineering, medical, dental, law and Management and not only for engineering.

The candidate can fill IPU CET 2022 application form for more than one courses by filling multiple forms separately and all this process will be done online only and there is no need to send the hard copy of the filled forms to the the supposed University.

As of now information IPU CET 2022 application form will be released from 4th March 2022 through the online mode. The exam will be conducted for the candidates who are Aspiring to take admission in various offered programs of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and by this examination the candidate can take admission in various programs offered into it.

Talking about the last date of application submission of B tech programme then it is first week of May 2022 and the exam will be held in the next 2nd week of May 2022 with the result declaration during the end of May 2022.
