iit R Prod.& Industrial vs iit R Civil. which should I prefer? basically I want to know which branch has higher placement scene. in OBC category the cutoff of civil is less but in open/gen. category the cutoff of p&I is less please suggest

Sayantika sur 9th Nov, 2021

Both branches are good in their own field. It is dependent upto you on which field you want to go.

Civil Engineering is one of the discipline of Engineering profession that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of all type of manmade structures like buildings, roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewerage systems, pipelines, and railways etc.

Industrial and Production Engineering is a subject that deals with the study of engineering sciences, manufacturing technology, management science and optimization of complex processes, systems or organizations .

But in case of placement I want to recommend you for civil. The scope of placement is higher in case of civil than production and chemical enginnering.

which is better among these msc virology,MSc applied microbiology,MSc industrial microbiology and MSc microbiology.. please give suggestion to apply pgcet 2021

MANISHA ROKA 18th Sep, 2021

Hello Teja,

All the subjects mentioned above are excellent and have almost equal probability of popping up in your PG-CET exam.

However if you find yourself evoked by the idea of viral replication or its mode of transmission then you should go for M.Sc. Virology.

But if medical microbiology attracts you the most then Applied Microbiology would help you score better marks.

Similarly, if you find exploitation of microbes for industrial use beneficial and intersting then you should opt for that.

However if you're still confused then go according  the weightage criteria or cut-off criteria for your respective subject of choice.

Hope this helps.

Goodluck!

Go through these courses in a very well detailed way & then make a informed decision on which is better.

In my perspective, both the courses are good and best in their own ways, a student should chose a course which interests them, because interested subjects/area will lead in developing greater knowledge for an individual and the student can perform very well.

Now finally as your last question asks the job opportunities after M.SC.
