cuet me Delhi se interior design course hota hai kya
Hi Vineeta,
Delhi University does not have any undergraduate programme in the field of Interior Designing. However, one short term certificate course is offered by the Institute of Home Economics (IHE) DU in the field of Interior Designing which you can join along with your regular degree.
Details about the course-
Certificate Course in 'Event Management and AUTOCAD & Interior Designing' is under the Department of Resource Management. It is a six-month certificate course that provides students with both theoretical and practical training in event management and interior designing and includes field visits to observe events such as the Trade Fair, exhibitions, events etc. Eminent speakers from event management companies, the corporate sector, and hospitality industry, practicing architects and interior designers from reputed institutes conduct sessions in the courses. Besides students of IHE, the course also attracts students from other colleges and persons already working with event management companies and other corporate houses.
(As given on official site of Institute of Home Economics)
College takes admission in this course usually in the month of July/August
NOTE-Also, you can pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Delhi College of Arts (DU). After completion of this course, you can work as an interior designer if you want. Admission to BFA sculpture is done on the basis of Aptitude Test conducted by the college with applications beginning in the month of June and exam in the month of July.
If you are interested in interior designing as an undergraduate course, then, unfortunately, no course is there in DU. But if you just want to learn the basics and then start your career along with your regular studies, the certificate course is very nice. Otherwise, go for other colleges that provide an undergraduate degree in interior designing such as private universities or Meera Bai Institute of Technology (govt.)
Hope that this helps !
