What is the process to get admission in ielts
Hey.
IELTS is not any course where you can get admission in. It is a test that you take in order to check your standardised English proficiency. It is required if you want to pursue studies in any English speaking country further. To register for it you can check the availability and select your test date and a separate test date for your Speaking test. You can use the link below for further details

Hello Lokesh,
The International English Language Testing System is a English proficiency test for higher education.
More than 10,000 organisations globally trust IELTS, so when you take the test you can be confident that it is recognised by educational institutions, employers, governments and professional bodies around the world.
As one of the pioneers of four skills English language testing 30 years ago, IELTS continues to set the standard for English language testing today. Governments in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom use IELTS to process immigration applications.
Good luck
Is it mandatory to take TOEFL or IELTS for the admission in NMIMS
Hi Sai Krishna,
First of all I need to know if you are talking about MBA/PGDM from NMIMS Mumbai/Bangalore/Hyderabad campus.
For admission to these 3 B-schools and pursuing MBA or PGDM in Business Management or HR Management you need to sit for NMAT by GMAC exam and crack it. There is no requirement of IELTS or TOEFL.
As far as NMAT is concerned it is held once a year, but the exam can be taken as per the candidate's suitable date within a window of around 2.5 months from October to mid of December. You also get to attempt the exam a maximum of three times as per your wish but you will have to pay everytime you take an attempt. The best of three scores are considered for you final selection. The exam is a non-negative marking exam. There are three sections in the NMAT exam. They are Quantitative Skills, Language Skills, and Logical Reasoning. There are in all 120 questions and 120 minutes to answer them. Although each of the section has fixed timings and a fixed number of questions.
Language Skills - 32 questions - 22 minutes
Quantitative Skills - 48 questions - 60 minutes
Logical Reasoning - 40 questions - 38 minutes
The sections can be ordered as per your convenience. If you prefer the CAT style then start with Language Skills and follow it up with the other two.
If you are someone who prefers Quants to Language skills, then it's best to start with Logical Reasoning, follow it up with Quantitative Skills and end with Language Skills. This is my personal favorite style as among the three sections, Logical Reasoning is the most taxing one and it's best to attempt it with a fresh mind. If you are average in Quants you can still ease through Quantitative Skills. Language Skills of NMAT is one of the easiest among other B-school entrance exams.
The entire exam is more of a test of speed. The level of questions are from easy to moderate with more of them being on the easier side. So, it's the speed that matters. Being a non-negative exam it becomes imperative that you don't leave any question. There is also no point in deliberating between two answers. Just mark one option and move to the next question. Don't think that you will come back to the question later on. Mark an option and mark the question for review and move on. If you get time you come back else let your luck have a go at it as you had already marked an option.
Now coming to the cutoffs.
NMIMS Bangalore and Hyderabad campus generally gives you a call with 185+ scores. 190 would be a safe score to expect a call for PGDM from those two campuses.
NMIMS Mumbai cutoffs go a bit higher. 207+ is a safe score to expect a call. So 210 onwards one should expect a call for sure for both MBA BM and HR from the Mumbai campus.
All three are pretty good campuses to pursue management education.
Please revert back for any further queries or help. Happy to help!!
Should I go for IELTS OR UKVI so that i could go for the masters program in psychology which will they consider
Thanks.
In order to migrate England for the masters degree in psychology which course will be accepted most among IELTS OR UKVI ? what should I do
In February last year, the UK government announced several changes to the Secure English Language Tests (SELT) which students need to take in order to obtain a UK Tier 4 study visa. These changes have been implemented since April 2015, but even though it has been over a year since the new requirements were introduced, some students, parents, and even education advisors are still unclear about the changes and how it affects them.
The International English Language Testing System, more commonly known as IELTS, is the worlds most popular English Language Test. Comprising of four parts reading, writing, speaking, and listening the IELTS is designed to assess students on the English Language competencies required to obtain a Tier 4 visa to study at a Highly Trusted Sponsor (HTS) in the UK
Before these changes were made, most universities with HTS status accepted students with an overall IELTS grade of 6.0, with no individual skill below 5.5, to the majority of their undergraduate and postgraduate courses as this was, and still is, the minimum requirement needed in order to secure a Tier 4 visa; although some universities set their own higher entry requirements.
However, the government announced early last year that they were introducing a new test for entry to UK institutions, called UKVI IELTS, which must be taken by anyone applying to study a course below degree level, such as A Levels or a Foundation programme. Although IELTS requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate courses remained the same, many people within the industry were worried that more changes were to follow and advised all students to take UKVI IELTS regardless of the course they were applying to, but this is not true.
For undergraduate and postgraduate courses, universities with HTS status are still able to make their own judgement on which English Language qualifications they accept, on the condition that they can prove that they are a suitable equivalent to the IELTS level needed to obtain a Tier 4 study visa. Qualifications such as the SPM English Language in Malaysia, and the English Language High School Certificate in India, may be considered by some UK universities on a case-by-case basis.
To summarise, all students who are entering a UK institution for a course which is below Bachelors degree level must take the UKVI IELTS, while students applying for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes need IELTS, or an alternative English Language qualification, if individual universities are willing to consider these.
Hope it helps

i have 11 backlogs and current ielts score is 6,im going to retake the ielts,if ill score 7 band, then what chances of getting admission?
Hello Aspirant!
Admission into for universities depend on a lot of factors. IELTS is one of them and it is basically to a proof of your proficiency in the english language. Other than that, your academic and co-curricular performances are considered. Even if you had a poor record in the past, but have demonstrated stark improvement in recent times, your chances for getting admission go a bit up. Along with that proper essays, and strong letters of recommendation and a good record of volunteering work increase your chances for getting admission.
