HI I want to study Ms in US is taking IELTS exam is OK
Hello Aspirant,
Hope your doing good!
Students planning to pursue an MS degree in the US have to display their English proficiency by sitting for the IELTS exam which evaluates the following skills-
- IELTS Listening
- IELTS Writing
- IELTS Speaking and,
- IELTS Reading
Almost the majority of the universities or graduate schools accept IELTS scores from the applicants and more than 3 million test-takers applied for the IELTS test to get admission to different institutions in the US.
Most of the universities accept 5.5 IELTS in the USA and in case the IELTS score is less than 5.5, then you must consider taking the IELTS Test again. While targeting an average university in the US Universities, the candidates’ IELTS score must be at least 6.5 or higher than that.
On a safer side, A score of 7 in IELTS is a good score acceptable by some of the well known colleges in the US.

can you please send me the latest syllabus for the IELTS exam. I want to apply for IELTS for Canada PR.
Hello Jyotsna, There is nothing like syllabus for IELTS exam. It is just a proficiency test for english language. There are 4 sections in the test: Reading, writing, speaking and listening. For the reading section, there would be an unseen passage and some questions related to that, you would need to find answers from the passage. for the listening section, you would have to answer the question based on the sound clip you hear. For the writing section, you would be needed to write two essays on the topic given. As for the speaking test, you would have to talk face to face with the instructor for about 12-15 minutes in english. I have given computer delivered IELTS myself and scored 7.0 in first attempt. I didn't do any coaching or read anything. Although i am going to give you official link for the practice tests:

Hello Amreen, Scoring a 5 in IELTS is not considered a very good performance. Countries like US, UK, Canada want a minimum of about overall 6.5 in the IELTS test. For the admission part, no colleges take admission only on the basis of IELTS because it is a language proficiency test and not an aptitude test. The colleges require multiple other things like Academic references, Statement of purpose, School and college marks and other things depending on which country you are applying.
When should we write IELTS exam to do ms after btech without any breaks. Can an avarage student crack the exam.To do MS in Aus,canada
One can be extraordinary student but still he/she might not be able to crack any exam with average preparation and one can be a average students but with extraordinary marks he/she can crack an exam.
No examination is difficult, it just needs a proper strategy, guidance, dedication and consistency to clear an examination.
If you think you need in then i would suggest that you can go for coaching if you can afford. The coaching can vary from 1 month to may be up to 6 months depending upon how fast and quick you can learn. But with rigorous practice 30 days is enough.
Getting 6.5 is not at all a big deal you can even score more than that by giving just few hours of dedicated preparation. You just need to be consistent and honest to yourself.
Also try to Develop skills of reading each question.
Developing vocabulary is a key factor for this exam so learn as many worlds as possible.
Try to do mock test papers as this can also help.
Good Luck
I got that one, but I want the expected score for masters on VLSI at Toronto university. And also provide relevant information to crack IELTS.
Hello aspirant,
The minimum IELTS score required to secure a seat in University of Toronto is 7.0 not less than that for Masters and you should be a graduated from a recognised university with 77% of aggregate. And IELTS determine your learning, reading, speaking, and writing abilities prepare accordingly.I hope this is helpful to you.
Can I apply for MBA in Poland, Germany and london without GMAT score but I do clear IELTS exam is it possible or not ?
Dear aspirant ,
In some colleges and universities for MBA , a student applying for MBA outside the country have to give GMAT exam . Students applying for MBA in England have to give GMAT exam , it is compulsory . However , there are some universities in England in which it is not compulsory to give GMAT exam instead of it students having a work experience for more than 2 years can apply directly for MBA program . In Germany most universities accept TOEFL score and not GMAT score , there are universities which accept both TOEFL and GMAT score . In Poland all types of entrance exams are accepted like TOEFL , IELTS and GMAT . So for betterment of you , you should first choose a country for which you want to study MBA and then second look at the eligibility criteria at different universities and according to that give a appropriate entrance exam . Also you can do is that choose a university of that country and then check which entrance exams for MBA they accept .
Hope it helps.
hi Im doing graduation in Delhi University. and learning German language. i want to do masters in Germany. please guide about ielts exam?
Hope you are doing well.
IELTSis an English language exam that is required to be taken by international candidates considering studying or working in a country where English is the main language of communication. Most popular countries where IELTS is accepted for university admissions are the UK,Australia,New Zealand,USA, andCanada. The exam mainly measures the ability of test-takers to communicate in the four basic English language skills listening, reading, speaking, and writing. IELTS exam is jointly owned and conducted by IDP Education Australia, British Council, and Cambridge English Language Assessment.
IELTS 2019 exam is required for migration as well as academic purpose abroad in English speaking countries like Australia, UK, New Zealand, USA, and Canada. It is the only English Language Test approved by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) for visa applicants applying both outside and inside the UK. A lot of students get confused about why are the IELTS scores required. The simple answer to this is that foreign universities and visa granting authorities need to be sure that you will not have communication issues while staying in the country. You need to show agood understanding and strong command of the English language and that is why your overall IELTS scores are so important. Another common doubt students have is whether IELTS is acompulsory exam or not. No, IELTS isnt compulsory in all university admissions. Many universities might not even require IELTS scores for admission purposes. But remember that if you dont give IELTS, your chances of getting the student visa might suffer as the visa officers may not be convinced about your English proficiency without IELTS scores. So it is safer to appear for IELTS and aim to score at least 6 bands overall.
You can take the IELTS exam with the British Council or IDP up to once a week (four times a month). The British Council and IDP global schedule for test datesare 48 days per year.
IELTS Eligibility:
IELTS can be taken by anyone irrespective of age, gender, race, nationality or religion, however, the IELTS test is not recommended for those under 16 years of age.
Hope this will help you.
Good luck
after bc.a 1 year i am capable for IELTS exam?
Dear Rithik, IELTS has no eligibility criteria. IELTS is a Language proficiency test and not an entrance examination. So it doesn't really have a eligibility criteria that Candidates need to fulfil. There are 2 types of IELTS tests, Academic and General Training. Your IELTS score for both these tests is valid for 2 years. So if you want to to go abroad after your Bachelor's degree, it makes meaning to take up IELTS in your 2nd year so that your test results do not go in vain. For test format of Academic and General Training IELTS, please visit our page at: https://www.ielts.org/en-us/about-the-test/test-format
