What would be a score for distinction award and Zonal medal score for IEO Class 1? There must be data from previous years 2018-19. Can someone let me know?
Sachin, whether you will get a distinction award or zonal medal or not depends on various factors like your class, difficulty level of question paper and your relative performance w.r.t. other students of your class (school, zone as well as national level). We cannot predict it on the basis of last year cutoffs.

yesterday IEO result has been declared.my daughter is reading in class2 sec.A scoring 20 and got the rank 4 in school.her friend is reading also in class 2 sec.B scoring 17 and got the rank 3 in school.both are the student of KVNo.2 balangir,odisha.how is it possible sir?
It is good to hear that your daughter is taking part in olympiads from such a little age. There are some factors which affect the rank in these olympiads, one of them is alphabetic order of the name. Also, sometimes there is some mistake in the omr that gets neglected. I'd say don't take stress because she's at a very tender age and you should just motivate her instead of comparing her with other students.

The total marks are 60 in ieo and cut off is 50 ,so we have to score 50 exactly or more than it to qualify for second level or less than 50 will work ??
Dear Purnima, cut off is the least score that you need to secure to qualify in a particular exam. So if the cut off says 50, you have to score atleast 50. Anything less than 50 doesnt qualify you in the exam. You can score anything above and beyond 50 but nothing less than 50. So in your case, to be qualified for the next level, you should score 50 and above.
