Currently, I am studying 12th Maths-Bio.I like to become an IAS.I have a problem in selecting the course that i do in college.I like politics and history.I would like to know a course that will be useful for writing the IAS examination and my internet. Can you recommend me some course?

Pankhuri Kumari 5th Jun, 2020
Hii!
See, the eligibility criteria for applying for UPSC exam, your path to become an IAS, is that the candidate must have completed graduation with minimum 50% marks in any Subject stream from a recognised university. So, you can choose to go for any College of your choice and do any course of your choice. Upsc covers all the Subjects such as Gk, current affairs, geography, history, science, etc.,
So, the Subject choice for graduation is yours.
You can also take up coaching besides graduation for preparing for the exam.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!

Sharon Rose Student Expert 24th May, 2020

Hello,

You cannot make any changes in MAT application form as there isn't any correction facility. You have to either apply a fresh application choosing CBT mode or make some alternative arrangements to give the test in IBT mode. You can seek help from your friends or relatives to provide you desktop/laptop with with proper internet connectivity.

in December i applied neet ,,so instead of postcard my internet provider had kept my 10 class original memo,,so nta had accepted and nta did not sent any error regarding postcard and till now i didnt made any corrections so iam really worried about postcard ,,,,,,,,so plz give me correct answer

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 15th May, 2020
Post card is different and Long Memo is different. S irrespective of whether NTA has notified you or not, you should upload your Postcard size photograph. Because your Photo is not equivalent to your Long memo. Both of them are totally different documents and cannot be considered the same. Pkease change them as you still have time until May 31st.

sir i hve applied for neet,in place of postcard my internet provider has kept my 10 long memo original in place of postcard ,nta acceptrd it so is there any problem regarding it iam so worried about it.but nta did not send any errors to my mail is that okay

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 15th May, 2020
Deepak, you haven't mentioned when this happened. But if it happened for the first time and NTA has not notified you to change or edit the uploaded documents then you need not worry about it. It should be absolutely fine. But if you uploaded the document recently, then we wpuld suggest you to wait for atleast 2-3 days. Eitherways the correction date is open until May 31st and so you will be fine.

can we use mobile phone for internet connection for todays online proctoring exam of NMIMS as it only mentioned not to use mobile phone?

Anurag Khanna 14th May, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

You are free to use any source of internet which is of best quality so that it might not disconnect in between the exam. You can use your mobile phone's hotspot for internet connection.

It is the first time when NPAT is going to be conducted by NMIMS in online remote proctoring mode so be familiar with the guidelines issued by NMIMS.

Fir more details about NPAT 2020 you should read this article .

My Merit list is 5856 in NPAT (UG) and Can I get admission in B. Tech in computer science in mumbai campus of (MPSTME)?

Raushan Kumar 17th Jun, 2018

Hello Shivam,

Thanks for the A2A. First of all sit back, take a deep breadth and relax. You did what you had to in the exam, there is no need to be worried about what rank you would score because no one can predict that.

Your rank is completely subjective to other mates who gave the exam with you, you might be in the top 100 or the top 1000 you never know. What I can tell you is four years back when I came for my admission to the college, my rank was 1329 and I was comfortably able to secure a seat in the computer engineering department.

But again that was in 2013, competition has increased a lot in the last four years I believe.

Answering your question as to which branch you should be applying to, I would say it is completely your decision. Do not come under the false impression of “scope” which your parents or relatives might give you about different branches. Whatever branch you take you would be creating your own opportunities there. So listen to yourself and go ahead with what you think is best after an in depth research.

Best of luck for your future endeavours
