The word disaster is derived from an ITALIAN word DISASTRO which basically means i ll-starred event.
But the ASTRO in DISASTRO is derived from a latin word ASTRUM. Astro means star.
The term disaster came into existence in the mid 16th century. Intially the meaning of disaster was - " an unfavourable position of a star "

Jawaharlal Nehru University is very renowned university and is quite famous for so many courses . Candidates who want to appear for the entrance exam should have completed 12th class with a minimum of 45% . As for now , JNU offers in the first year of BA the ten different languages which are divided into 3 clusters :
1. French , German, Spanish, Russian
2. Japanese, korean, Chinese
3. Persian , arabian , pashto
The entrance test for this program is a standard test that will be carried along with the BA entrance exam for the 3 clusters. Syllabus covers questions about general knowledge, artificial language , general English and language aptitude. The exam is conducted in the English language as a computer based test .
