i have done master in human resource management in 2016. can i apply for MBA again in JNU.
Hi,
Yes sure you can apply to JNU for MBA. But for that you have to give the CAT Exam. The CAT exam scores have 70% weightage and personal interview round will have around 30% weightage. JNU will use the CAT score for shortlisting/ selecting candidates for MBA programme.
Recently I am pursuing BA from lucknow university and I have economics as my subsidiary subject. I am in second year of my graduation. I want to pursue masters in economics from jnu. How should I prepare for it. Suggest some standard book and preparation strategy.. Plzz help. I am totally confused.
Hi Pallavi,
To pursue M.A.in economics from JNU you have to appear for JNUEE. The syllabus and books to refer for the same are :
-
Macroeconomics: (Dornbusch and Fisher, Macroeconomics,6e and Mankiw, macroeconomics)
- National Income Theory of Income Determination
- Monetary Policy
- Trade and Balance of Payments
-
Descriptive Statistics
:
(Nagar and Das, Basic Statistics,RGD Allen, Mathematical Analysis for Economics, AC Chiang, Fundamental Methods of Mathematical Economics,Sydsaeter and Hammond, Mathematics for Economic analysis)
- Mean, Median and Mode, Standard Deviation, Correlation Coefficient
- Elementary Probability Theory
- Mathematics for Economists (Elementary Algebra, Coordinate Geometry and Elementary Calculus)
-
Problems of Economic History, Underdevelopment and Growth:
- India's Economic Development prior to Independence: India's Planning and Development experience since Independence; Basic indicators of Development.
-
Microeconomics : (Hal Varian, Intermediate Microeconomics, 7e, Rubinfield and Pindyk , Microeconomics)This will contain following subtopics
- Demand Curves
- Price and Income Elasticity of Demand
- Cost Curves
- Equilibrium of Firm under Perfect Competition and Monopoly
The entrance exam comprises of the two parts: Part A (MCQs) and Part B (short/long question type). The part B will be evaluated if you get shortlisted on the basis of your part A. Then aggregate of both the parts will be considered for final selection. It is better if you refer previous year paper as well. After completing each topic try to solve the questions for that topic from PYQ papers. This will help in revising the topic. Once you complete whole syllabus start attempting the question papers within the duration of JNUEE. This will help you in time management skills.
I am +2 second year student of raven shaw HSE student can I apply jnu
Hi,
Jnu offers both the ug and pg courses. For pg courses one is required to complete a graduation courses.
For ug courses the minimum educational qualification is 10+2. Beside that the eligiblity depends on which course you want to take admission. Those candidates who full fill the eligiblity criteria can apply to jnu entrance exam. So you can apply to ug courses at jnu but you should check all the eligiblity criteria before applying at nta.jnu.nic.in. of jnu.
Hope this helps.
