hello, this is mrunal,my question is...i got 94 percentile in jee mains 2021..i qualified jee advanced 2021 also but i didnt get admission in any IITs...bcoz of some family prblm i was unable to give jee mains 2022, so can i apply for jee advanced 2022 on the basis of jee mains 2021 result?pls reply
Hello,
I can understand your problems . Everyone has their own difficult times and we just can't blame anyone for it. It is the just the time which is responsible for these things.
So, let me tell you that you cannot directly apply for jee advanced 2022 without qualifying jee mains 2022 because it's just against the rule. You jee mains 2021 attempt or score is of no use in this year.
I would suggest you if you have given your 12th in the year 2021 then you are eligible for one more attempt in jee mains which is in the year 2023. But in that year you won't be eligible for jee advanced as you are allowed to give only two times consecutively.
So score well in jee mains next year and get into a good NIT.
I passed my 12th class in 2021,gave JEE mains but didnt get qualified for JEE advanced 2021 then i took drop for next year but didnt get qualified for JEE advanced 2022 either so,will I be able to sit in JEE advanced 2023 if i get qualified in JEE mains 2023 since its going to be my first time
Hi,
Sorry for the confusion earlier.
A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced maximum two times in two consecutive years after passing Class 12th. Since you already have exhausted both the chances, so you cannot.
You can check out the colleges that participate in JEE Main counselling here - https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-participating-institutes
Also find the colleges based on your rank through the college predictor - https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor
I passed out plustwo in 2021....i was not eligible for jee advanced 2021.....and i dropped my 1 year...but i couldnt give my 100 %for my preparation....i am willing for jee advanced 2023...am i eligible for it??
Hi
No, you won't be eligible for jee advanced 2023 .
This is because,
One has a total of two attempts for JEE advanced over two consecutive years starting from the year of appearing for 12th board examination i. e as per , eligibility criteria one is eligible for JEE advanced examination only in the year in which he or she appears for 12th board examination and the next year following it.
So, with 12 th appearing year as 2021
-
you were eligible for jee advanced 2021 and
-
eligible for jee advanced 2022 only. Thus, not eligible for JEE advanced 2023
You can check detailed eligibility criteria of JEE advanced by visiting our page the link for the same page is provided below
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-advanced-eligibility-criteria
If I tell you about Jee main then,
One can give JEE Mains entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of passing 12th board examination.
Now, your 12th passing year is 2021
So, you
-
were eligible for jee main 2021
-
eligible jee main 2022
-
eligible jee main 2023 as well .

I have qualified jee mains in 2021 and gave jee advanced 2021 but didnt qualified . Does I need to quantify jee mains 2022 to give Jee advanced 2022 or I can directly give jee advanced on the basis of 2021 jee mains.
Hello Young Aspirant!!!
If the condition lies such that you have qualified JEE Mains this year but didn't appear in JEE Advanced then also to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2022 you need to reappear in JEE Mains 2022 and obtain the Qualifying marks to be part of the IITs.
But on the basis of this years JEE Mains score, you can also take admission into state government Institutes or any other recognised private institutions as well.
Hope it helps!!!!
I registered for jee advanced 2021 but didnt appear in any paper.Acc to guidelines dated 31/12/21,I am eligible for giving jee advanced 2022 directly. Can I appear for jee mains 2022 and also for jee advanced 2022( through the relaxed criteria) if I am not able to clear the cutoff for the JA22?
Hello aspirant,
Candidates who has passed their 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2020, 2021 and studying 10+2 or intermediate in 2022 are eligible for appearing for JEE Mains 2022. JEE Mains can be attempted three times in consecutive years. JEE Advanced two times you can attempt but first you need to qualify in JEE Mains to be eligible for appearing JEE Advanced.
Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay declared that candidates who filled JEE Advanced application form in 2021 but did not appear are also eligible for appearing JEE Advanced in 2022. So, you'll be eligible for JEE Mains 2022 and JEE Advanced 2022.

Good Luck!!
i am a dropper.I had given jee mains in 2021 and secured SC rank 2024 and also I was appeared in jee advanced 2021 but did not qualified jee advanced 2021. so my question is that am i egligible for jee advanced 2022 or i have to give jee mains 2022 for applying or getting egligible in jee advanced
Hi reader ,
If the year 2021 was your 1st attempt then you are eligible for appearing for both JEE MAIN and JEE ADVANCED.
But to you to clear the cutoff of JEE MAIN to be able to write the exam of JEE ADVANCED.
there's differnce between eligibilty and qualification.
eligibility means that you will be allowed to sit in the exam while qualification means that you need to pass by a certain score to appear in the exam.
i hope this helps
thank you
