I am a mtech student who wrote karnataka pgcet exam but after first round allotment I found out from cut off ranks that a MBA student has also got same rank as mine I am waiting for second round will this affect me?

See in such cases what happens commonly is if the seats are limited then the candidate having higher age is given preference while allotment though the candidates have got the same rank so if this happens in your case as well then this might impact you. Also if the candidate having same rank has got the seat in the institute where you also want, then there is huge probability that you would get the seat in round 2nd because some candidates do not take admission due to some reasons so you have good chances but still wait for the round 2nd results.

With reference to your above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has started the Karnataka PGECT counselling at the official website. Candidates can check Karnataka PGCET 2021 seat allotment results at kea.kar.nic.in. Karnataka PGCET 2021 exam for MTech was conducted on November 13.
Karnataka PGCET cutoff 2021 :
Karnataka PGCET 2021 cutoff will consist of the minimum marks required by the candidates in order to have higher chances of admission. The cutoff will be released by the authorities for both GATE and Karnataka PGCET 2021. It will be released category and course wise.
Karnataka PGCET counselling 2021 :
KEA is conducting the counselling of Karnataka PGCET 2021 in online mode. On the basis of counselling, the authorities has allotted seats to the candidates. To participate in the counselling process, candidates had to visit the nearest help centres for document verification. After document verification, they will receive a unique keyword using which, the candidates will be able to fill and lock the choice of preference of institute and course.
karnataka PGCET Seat Allotment 2021 :
The authorities will allot seats to the candidates according to their merit, preferences locked by them and some other factors such as availability of seats. The allotted candidates will have to download the admission order and report to the allotted institute. Candidates will also have to pay the admission fee.
Karnataka eligibility criteria 2021 :
Qualification - Candidates should have passed the qualifying or equivalent examination.
Qualifying Marks - Candidates should have passed qualifying or equivalent examination with an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken all subjects together (45% for candidates belonging to the reserved category).
Domicile - Candidates or any parent should have resided in the state for at least 7 years. Also, candidates should have studied in one of more Government or Government recognized institutes of the state for at least seven years either continuously or in a broken period.
GATE -
Candidates seeking admission through GATE should have a valid GATE score.
What is a valid Gate Score?

KEA has declared the Karnataka PGCET 2021 seat allotment result on January 18 at the official website. Last date for reporting to the colleges for the candidates who have been allotted a seat in round 1 was 25 January 2022.
Yes, there will be a second round happening in PGCET 2021 for seat allotment and the next round is Second and final round. If you do not pay the prescribed fee by KEA the seat allotted will gets cancelled and that cancelled seat will be considered in second round for seat allotment. If you do not may the prescribed fee after selecting choice 2, you will not be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds of the counselling. The date to make the Payment of Fee and Download Admission Order is January 24, 2022. If you wish to participate in further round you need to pay the fee, download the admission order and report at the allotted institute. After paying the fee If you wish to surrender the seat before the last date for second round option entry, the fee will be refunded after deducing Rs. 5000 from the paid fee. If it is cancelled after the last date as mentioned then full fee will gets forfeited.

Pattern of karnataka pgcet question for mca entrance examination.
The question paper for the MCA of the Karnataka PGCET exam will be divided into two parts. Part 1 will have 60 and part 2 will have 20. the paper will have a total of 100 questions and the total test will be 100 marks. the questions of part B will be of 2 marks each. The duration of the test is 150 mins. there will be no negative marking.
