what do i do now ? i want to be interpreter or translator but ryt now im doing ba in psychology in another clg and .. now Im thinking should i start first searching for institutions of language for learning korean ? tell me please
Hi there,
Firstly, I would like to elaborate on the difference between a translator and an interpreter. Yes, they are often used interchangeably but there is a slight difference.
Translator: If you are willing to sit in a cubicle surrounded by dictionaries and preparing a document duplicating the original., is work done by a translator.
Interpreter: interpreter on the other hand is a person that acts as a mediator between two persons and translator the entire conversation.
As you're already enrolled in a course I would suggest you start with a certificate program initially. See there are three types of programs you can enroll into a degree, a diploma, and a certificate program.
As you are pursuing a degree it'll be difficult for you to get into another degree program. The best-case scenario is to go for a diploma or a certificate course. Jamia offers certificates as well as part-time diplomas. It'll be easier as the classes will only be conducted on weekends for the part-time diploma.
You could pursue a diploma or certification and Jamia or from IGNOU.

http://www.ignou.ac.in/ignou/aboutignou/school/sofl/programmes/detail/655/2
The minimum eligibility criteria are for a candidate to be 12th passed .
It is the easiest way to start as of how and will also land you an entry-level job.

Im already b.com graduate can I still do B.A hons korean? If yes then which eligibility (Aggregate marks) will be considered 10+2 or b.com ?
See if you want to go for BA Korean after BCOM then you have to take admission in first year of BA Korean which will be essentially on the base of 10+2 marks and entrance if required by the college you want to take admission in.
Some of the colleges offering BA Hons Korean are:
Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi
Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi
Korean Education in Manipur University
Bengaluru Central University (Centre for Global Studies)
BHU (Arts Faculty)
English and Foreign Language University (EFLU), Hyderabad

Central University of Jharkhand (Centre for Far East Languages)
IGNOU (School of Foreign Languages)
Christ University (Department of Languages)
Dr. BR Ambedkar University – Srikakulam

i want to study undergraduate medicine in korean yonsei university so is it compulsary to take SAT exam or not
Hello STudent
To study in Korea whether it is medicine or Technology candidate has to to clear the korean language test that is TOPIK test. For undergraduate program in Korea candidate has to pass the Test of proficiency in Korean language Topik3. And for graduate program candidate has to to take the test of proficiency in Korean language Topik 4. Other than these candidates have also to clear the ACT and SAT exam like to study in America. Act for American college test that determine the candidate's eligibility of thinking , writing , speaking and analytical ability in Science topics also. SAT is for scholastic Aptitude Test which denotes the scholastic outlooks of the candidate.
So test of proficiency in Korean language and sat and act are also compulsory to study in in Korean Yonsei University for undergraduate medicine course.
Hope this helps.

Im b.com graduate and doing job as well, Can I still go for B.A hons (korean) without leaving job in JNU/JMI??
Hey,
You can do this by taking up distance education as you need not to visit the campus and can continue the job. JNU does not offer distance education course. BA Hons in Korean is offered as a regular program in JNU. Further Jamia Milia Islamia do offers distance education but not in BA Hons in Korean. It offers distance education in BA(General), BBA, B.COM, BCIBF. General BA Hons in Korean is offered as a regular program and to attend it, you need to leave the job because then there could be attendance and can lead to repeating/expelling from the college.
Can I select korean as a language subject in my masters ? Like in DU we have to select total 4 subjects 1 is our major and 1 is for language and 2 for additional subject. I want to know i f I can select korean as my language subject.
Hello,
Yes you can choose as 2nd language if Delhi University have this option. Otherwise you can't take this subject. You can get this as additional subject also if there present in Korean language. And it's very good to learning a new language. It will be helpful for your extra carricular activity or quality.
All the best.
Tomorrow is the registration of Online Korean Language Hobby Classes of Korean Cultural Center. So is the semesters and this Hobby classes the same?
Hi,
Well.it is a hobby class and not a course where you will earn credits or anything. This course is just for learning how to read and write the basics of hanguel and nothing else. So you can join that online class and they might give you a certificate and nothing more than that.
I hope this helps.
All the best.
