Most of the study that you have to do as a CSE student is to be conducted on a computer system since there will be a lot of coding and development of software based on your specialization. Hence, most CSE students prefer getting a laptop which can run heavy codes and process multiple languages such as C++, JAVA, C, Machine learning, etc. It is better to get a laptop as a first year ECE student also, since there is technical aspects to it as well.
Therefore, you should go ahead and invest in getting a laptop as a first year. Additionally, you can also wait for your second semester to start so that can analyse your syllabus properly and get a laptop according to the kind of capacity it should ideally have.

You can get laptops having processors like intel i5, i7 or ryzen 5, ryzen 7. SSD would be preferrable of 512GB, and minimum of 8GB RAM. As I'm also an IT student I'm using laptop having specs as follows:

Screen size: 15.6 inches

Hard Disk Size: 512 GB

Ram: 8GB

CPU model: Core i5

OS: Windows 10 Home

Graphic Card: 4GB

As per your query, Yes!! Laptop is allowed in Hostel and in whole campus of college, Apart from study hour in hostel it's not a issue to use those things. You can use laptop in hostel as they would be learning about the studies so they may need laptop and almost every colleges allow laptops to be kept in the hostels.

I think iPad is good over laptop for mbbs student.

The justification for this is:

• With a laptop, you can read textbook PDFs on a wide screen, take web tests more effectively than with an iPad, and eventually compile a library of textbook PDFs and Videos over time. The very minimum you need is a laptop.
• iPads are the first choice since applications for NEET/NEXT preparation like Marrow and PrepLadder are only accessible on iPads and not on laptops or MacBooks.
• The second option is an Apple Pencil + iPad since it enables you to quickly highlight and take digital notes on PDF versions of medical textbooks.

Residents are permitted to use computers (provided they are allowed to do so as per the Rules governing the usage of the same), table Lamps, and Audio Systems. Hostel Supervisor should be informed in writing if a resident wishes to keep any of these items in the room.

The rules state that laptops are not allowed in freshmen year . The founding father’s believe in keeping the young mind’s closely knit and want them to explore the plethora of things the institute has to offer .

Let’s cut to the chase , you can keep a tab if you want to .

Laptops are allowed from 2′nd Semester .

The hostels are compulsory for new btech students. The rooms are two- sharing rooms which means there are two people living in single room.

you can putbyour laptop in your room but have to keep it secure from others because if it get stolen no one will be responsible except you.

IBPS PO is not a home based test. The exam will be conducted online at the exam centre. Your exam centre will be mentioned in your admit card. You will have to go there and give the exam. You don't need to carry a laptop or a phone. The test center will have computers and you need to give an exam on these computers. The IBPS PO application form 2022 will be released tentatively in August 2022 and aspirants are able to apply for the IBPS PO 2022 till the last date. IBPS PO 2022 preliminary exam will be conducted on October 15, 16 and 22, 2022. The IBPS PO 2022 mains exam is scheduled to be held on November 26, 2022.

It is not necessary to carry a laptop as most college will have computer lab facilities. If you are going to a boardin college, then you most likely will be able to use those facilities and thus can survive without one but it is really useful to have a laptop in college. It makes a lot of your work like coding, typing assignments, looking for extra online courses easier. Check the computer lab facilities of your campus and you'll be able to decide how badly you'll need one.
