please guide me its a humble request i am very much confused about my pursuing career, i am studying in class 12 in arts stream and as a girl i am not able to understand that what do i choose to pursue my career between officers, lieutenant, major ,and also lawyer. i should choose ba,nda or llb
Dear Lavanya,
Women aren't required to excel in any one sector. Anyone can succeed anyplace. The secret is perseverance. Engineers can be female. They are doing pretty well. Women are capable of being business experts. They are also doing quite well there. Women are capable of being fashion icons. They can excel at anything they put their minds to.
But as you’re confused what to choose between BA, LLB or NDA, let me give you a glimpse of every sector you mentioned.
BA - After the B.A.(H) degree in a subject of your choice you will have to do the B.Ed degree i.e. the Bachelor's in Education. That will qualify you as a teacher and then you can apply in schools. The higher the level you want to teach in, the more you have to study. You have to complete a Masters degree to teach in higher classes. In some places more qualification is required.
In India, I believe women are most suited for the position of teacher. They have a good work-life balance as a result. They also have a significant impact on the lives of children, whether they are their own or students. Of course, they also merit the highest level of respect.
Here’s a link to list of colleges that offers BA -

LLB - Women are empowered by legal knowledge and the ability to speak bravely and confidently against whatever they want to fight against. They are given the power to encourage them to stand up for what they believe in. I assure you that there is no discrimination against women in the legal field. Every woman is equally capable of debating and performing other legal tasks as males. The level of performance for these tasks is the same regardless of gender. Everything depends on the skills each person possesses.
If no one abuses their position of authority and everyone behaves morally while complying by the law, this would empower society. In this society, where women have historically been subjugated and dominated by men, I think that having access to the law of one's land will only lead to a brighter tomorrow for society as well as for women.
Just read the response once more. I made no mention of female lawyers. When they practise law, they become WOMEN! That is how the legislation that binds them affects this society! According to me, this is genuine empowerment!

NDA - No, is the quick response. Sadly, girls are not allowed to take the UPSC's NDA (National Defense and Naval Academy) exam (Union Public Service Commission). If they meet the prerequisite qualifying requirements, only unmarried male hopefuls are eligible for the UPSC NDA.
However, career after 12th arts is not limited, check out the link given below for more options -

I want become a lawyer so I dont know what can I do after 12th
If you wish to become a Lawyer, then you have two ways to go. The first way is a time saver in which you can join the course of Integrated LLB such as BA LLB, BBA LLB, BSc LLB, BCOM LLB etc. This are the 5 years course in which you will be provided two degrees after the 5 years course. This courses are UGC approved and after completion of this courses, you can practice law. The admission are usually provided to this courses on the basis of CLAT examination.
The 2nd way is that, you take admission in any of the UG degree courses and after the completion of your UG course, you can take admission in the LLB course. This way have only one demerit that you will need more time. For examination, if you do a BA course, then it will take 3 years and the LLB course will be a 3 years course again. So in total you will be required 6 years of time. Now its your choice which you want to choose. Both the courses are great except the time frame limits.

what do we need to study to become a business lawyer ? LLB , BBA LLB ,BA LLB
Hello Arpan,
When you say you want to become a business lawyer I suppose you mean corporate lawyer. If you want to become a lawyer in the first place you need to understand 2 things. First, you can do your LLB after your 12th board or after Graduation. If you decide to do your LLB after 12th it will be of 5 years and if you decide to do your LLB after graduation it will be 3 years. BBA LLB, BA LLB are of 5 years. Only LLB which is done after graduation is of 3 years. Now to become a business/corporate lawyer you can pursue either of the 2 options which I have mentioned above. Also there are various fields into which you can specialize as a lawyer one of which is corporate law. If you have made your mind to dive into corporate law you should make yourself well versed in various corporate laws. Also do your internship in a firm or company or a lawyer which specializes in corporate law. There is no such restriction that a 3 year LLB student cannot become a corporate lawyer. All you need is a LLB degree which you can pursue either after your 12th or after your Graduation. There are various entrance exams which you can give after 12th such as CLAT, MH Law CET, etc, and after graduation such as MH Law CET, SLAT, etc.
Hope this helps.
corporate lawyer and business lawyer are same ?
Good Afternoon Arpan!!
Hope you are absolutely fine, as per your query there are many similarities and dissimilarities between Corporate Lawyer and Business Lawyer, for the basic understanding corporate lawyer and business lawyer works on the same issue but in different levels, Business Lawyer handles the interaction between businesses , peoples, costumers and employees whereas Corporate lawyer handles rules and regulations.
Business lawyer examine legal issue, shareholders rights, tax issues, work with your CPA to mitigate tax burdens, Copyrights and Trademarks concerns etc. on the other hand Corporate lawyer manages an organisation's operations, practices, authenticity and prepares contracts etc.
Hope you understood the basic differences between Corporate Lawyers and Business Lawyers.
All the best!!!
i want to become a business lawyer so for that BBA LLB is needed??
Dear Arpan,
To become a corporate or an in-house business lawyer, BBA LLB is not need . Some of the most famous National law schools that churn out the best corporate lawyers like the National Law School of India University, NALSAR or NLU-Delhi do not even offer BBA LLB.
Rest assured, based on your interest, you can take either BA LLB or BBA LLB. Your placements will mostly depend on the quality of your law school, your own achievements and academic records.
Best of luck! I hope this helps!
after doing llb from India, what are the steps to work in the usa and live there as a lawyer
Hello student,
The basic factor is, if the person is in the right visa status that is not F1 then they can work full time as a paralegal.
Moreover, if a person with Indian LLB most probably with US LLM and no bar qualification can work as a Foreign Legal Consultant in most states.
Hope it helps....
i want to be a lawyer how it ma be
Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing absolutely great.
So with regard to your query, to become a lawyer there are two options for you.
1. Through CLAT exam, this exam is conducted by the CLAT Consortium and it is held once in a year. The basic general syllabus includes English, General Knowledge, Basic Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Legal Reasoning.
After qualifying in this exam, you will be placed into national law universities (NLUs) across India based upon your merit. It is a five year BA LLB Honors course and after completion of 5 years you need to write the bar exam and you can practice as a lawyer. To eligible for CLAT exam you need to complete your 10+2.
2. State Law exams, this is another way to become a lawyer, for this you need to complete 10+2 and write the state law exams, and based upon the merit you will be placed into universities across the state of which you wrote the exam. The general state law exams include AP LAWCET, TS LAWCET, MH LAWCET etc.,.

how difficult is ballb to do? will i get destroyed if i ipt for ballb?
Hello,
When it comes to pursuing a career, it's always important to consider few things such as skills, aptitude, your area of interest etc, now law as a career is great option, but if you don't have interest in the discipline then there is no point in wasting five years of your precious life into it, law as a subject isn't only about memorizing theoretical concepts but there are practical applications as well, so you need to have a great interest in doing so, every career choice has its own challenges, now depending on which university you apply for, if there are no placements in such scenario the struggles for employment becomes tough, and this is where the candidate has to put in his or her own efforts, you can go for internships in order to gain experiences in your relative field, integrated law comes in various forms such as BBA-LLB, BCom-LLB, BCA-LLB, BSc-LLB etc, where it's an amalgamation of law with the concerned field, for example if you wish to work in corporate domain then BBA-LLB/BCom-LLB is more suited because of its curriculum, and other than this being a law graduate you can apply for any government jobs based on the eligibility criteria of graduation, and there are also specialist posts in banking sector as in legal department, so there are various opportunities which you can explore however it's essential to note that you do have interest in law as a career, else you should opt for other options.
I am 24, I am currently working. I want to become a judge. Can I do LLB through distance learning to become a judge. And is practicing as a lawyer necessary for becoming a judge?
hey there
hope you are doing well
No, Bar Council of India (Which regulates lawyers profession)does not recognize any distance education degree for LLB. Therefore, even if you managed to obtain one, you will not be able to practice in court with that degree.
there is no need to practice law for lawyers in India to become a Judge.it is not necessary to have a experience certificate for a judge. Only the judges need to pass the judiciary exam.
