If you are studying leather technology then you should prepare yourself to work in private sector as larger opportunities are there only. The jobs offered will be by factories.

Job prospects are high as India is a leading exporter of leather goods. Moreover people taking up leather technology as stream are few. So, best of Luck, study hard acquire skills.

The cut-off for 2019 has not been declared yet by the college do it is difficult to tell you the exact cut-off, however you can get a rough idea based on previous years' cut-off.

You haven't mentioned your category so I'm assuming you belong to the general category.

With a rank of 24888 in general category, it is not possible for you to get admission in GCELT for B.Tech Leather Technology. The cut-off for 2018 for general category for Leather Technology was-

• Start rank- 4070
• End rank- 10522

Unless you belong to the SC/ST category you won't get admission for Leather Technology in this college.

I can provide you the WBJEE Opening Ranks (CR) and Closing Ranks (CR) for GCELT, Kolkata of previous years for OPEN category candidates, you can get an idea. These cutoffs were for the Leather Technology branch, which was the lowest out of the three branches.
