what is the proccessing of the law cet studys.?
Hello!
CET Law is for Maharashtrian law colleges, that is government run colleges.
For the 5 year LLB + Bachelor's (Such as B.A) programme, the eligibility criteria to give the MHCET exam is as follows:- Candidate should be an Indian Citizen
- SSC or HSC graduates from a recognised school in Maharashtra with 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST category).
- Candidates appearing for qualifying examination in the academic year 2017-18 can also apply online for CET Exam.
- Candidate should be an Indian Citizen
- Graduate and or Post Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University in Maharashtra with minimum 45% marks.
- No upper age limit for admissions to 3 year LLB CET in the academic year 2019-19.
The Maharashtra Directorate of Higher Education makes the syllabus and exam pattern. Depending on whether you want to study the 5 year LLB course or 3 year LLB course, the syllabus and exam pattern will be different.
The exam is divided into many topic-wise categories. There is the Legal Aptitude, Maths, General Knowledge, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, and English section. The paper is 150 questions long, you get 1 mark for each correct answer. There is no negative marking. You have to complete the paper in 120 minutes. So there is a time constraint. Even if you spend one minute on each question, you will not be able to complete the full paper, 30 questions will still be left. So you have to work on speed.
You should focus on your strenghts, and identify your weaknesses to overcome them. So if you are good at English and Legal Aptitude, then practice them often so that you can get the most marks out of this. Engish, Legal Aptitude and General Knowledge questions are usually quick to answer as you do not have to work the answer out like you will have to do with the Maths and Logical sections. The best way to study Maths and Logical is to identify which topics in these subjects are you good at. You should then practice these and be the best at them so that if you spend time on working the answer out during the paper, then the time will not go to waste. You will be able to 100% work out the answer of the question you attempted and get the marks for it.
When it comes to the English and Legal section, practice makes you perfect. The more past papers and model papers you attempt, the faster and better you will be able to answer them. General Knowledge is all about reading the newspaper every day. Staying updated is key. You will have to know GK of the past 2 years, before the exam. Static GK includes historic general knowledge. You can find various books and online GK Monthly Update blogs to read up on. These blogs and books are made focusing on what kind of questions can come in exams like CET and CLAT, and such exams.
Practice is key. The more papers you solve, of the past and other model papers, the better chances you have of doing well.
All the best with preparations and do ask any more questions which you might have!
