Admission Process -
There is no entrance written exam for admission in this course. Admission to this course is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, followed by personal interview.
Eligibility Criteria -
Candidate who have cleared the Pre-University examination of Karnataka, or an equivalent examination or 10+2, the equivalent examination should have minimum 35% or pass marks aggregate in PCB/CBZ are eligible to apply for admission in this course.

Maitreyi college is better in terms of ranking as well as reviews. It has ‘A’ rank from NAAC, college has much better faculty, infrastructure and facilities. It is at a prime location too. It even has a hostel. The laboratories are good as well.

Microbiology is not usually considered as a field where you get a degree and secure a job. This subject mostly aims on research, to discover new techniques which could lead to betterment of our daily life. Its vast field can take you to any sectors such as pharmaceuticals, bio-remediation, agriculture, food and beverage industries etc. You can opt for a job in these sectors or can choose academic line where you can do a PhD or post doc. and get a teaching position in any university or can join as a research fellow in one of the various organisations or even in private labs. You can choose medical line where you could be appointed in a diagnostic lab. You will never be able to outrun your career options, being a student of microbiology.

To emerge successful in your job, you will need to apply your post graduation knowledge every now and then. Can I fill Nit Rourkela Integrated Msc in life sciences despite not having biology as a subject in class 12 . My crl rank is 55,231 which is well under the cutoff..... I just fear if alloted once will i be deemed inelligible For not having biology in my 12th standard ?
