One of my friend is lpu pass out student .He told me that LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure good placement. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Aspiring Minds have ranked LPU as having Most Employable Students in consecutively twice in a row for previous academic’s sessions. ASSOCHAM (Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India) rated LPU as Best Private University with regards to placements. Zee News Survey rated us as 11th Best in India in Placements. Several Big Brands of the industry have visited LPU campus during academic session 2015-2016 for campus placements, students training/workshops, faculty development, etc. and the process is still going on at full pace. Around 150+ companies visit every year for campus-placement of students from LPU.For Instance, during Day-1 this year (batch 2016) Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS) and Tech Mahindra extended 799 placement offers to engineering students of LPU in one go. In case of CSE, 90% of the placement had been recorded with maximum package of Rs.26.83 Lakh.

I would say this would be a good option to pursue B.Tech program but not the best one as there are better universities are also available.Also,according to Careers360 Lovely Professional University has got AAA+ which says this is a good option to pursue engineering courses overall Cut-offs of national / state level Entrance exams, Accreditation and Reward status, Publication record from Elsevier’s indexing database - Scopus so you are advised to consider your interesting branch and convenience before you decide anything.

See your marks are very down .Your rank can vary from 50,000 - 70, 000.So you will be getting some private colleges of Noida , Gaziabad ,etc.
So from my point of view take colleges from another options like Jee Mains or some others like LPU , VIT ,SRM,etc.
Or if you have a chance left then go for it .

as you compared of two universities or colleges its better to choose srm as you get your expected branch and in lpu if you qualify in lpunest and have 50% in ipe i.e 12 th standard then you can get any branch better choose which has highest placement record thank you
